ejner Report post Posted August 5, 2007 I bought this carcover last summer on ebay for 700$, as a paynow price and payed with paypal, but the guy never sendt it to my. I have only this picture to show, I havent got his ebay profile anymore, because my harddisc on my pc broke down with all the information on. The white Lambo on the lift has a red interior and have been for sale on ebay, I think it's a '91 model. Paypall said that he got the money, so they could not help me to get the carcover or my money back. So that's why paypall sucks. lcs Report post Posted August 5, 2007 You can make a claim through ebay and paypal after 30 days because Item not received, in paypal you have 60 days to get the money back.
FrankD Report post Posted August 5, 2007 I would always recommend using your credit card thru paypal so you can fight it thru them. Always have the seller on high priced items send it certified or with delivery confirmation.

Always have the seller on high priced items send it certified or with delivery confirmation. We did try to make paypall pay back the money, but they wanted us to contact seller and him pay back the money or send the item, paypall did not contact seller and they did not pay back the money to me. It might lookes easy but it dident worked out. I still have payed for an item I never got, and I did not get any help from paypall, that I could use. After 3 month I gave up, this is just to tell, it might not be as save as it looks, to pay with paypall.
SAMLAMBO Report post Posted August 5, 2007 I lost US$500 over paypal for a model car I ordered but never received or more like I received an empty package. I NEVER ever deal with anyone thru paypal unless it's a reputable company. NO INDEPENDENT SELLERS for me.

topcabron Report post Posted August 5, 2007 Assuming the pictures actually belong to the seller who stole your money, PM me for his information. Does this look familiar? that is quite the garage. Fortunately, with a garage like that, its like leaving a full size hand print and foot prints at the scene of a crime.

Andrew R. Report post Posted August 6, 2007 I just talked to the owner of that garage, he hasnt sold a car cover to anyone! Sounds like someone told the photo off the net and did an eBay scam! What was the seller's eBay user name? I think that would tell more about the story...

abolfaz Report post Posted August 6, 2007 I just talked to the owner of that garage, he hasnt sold a car cover to anyone! Ebay info looks correct and the email matches the email from onelambolover that we banned from this site. Here's his ebay user id, does it look like the guy in question? Surely there must be some misunderstanding.
Andrew R. Report post Posted August 6, 2007 ** Not trying to get in the middle of some dra-ma, but I jumped in this because this doesnt sound right... something is fishy ** CORRECTION. Scott called back and left me a voicemail after I made that post... I am just getting back to my computer. He did sell his 92 Diablo car cover... went to a guy in the U.S. (above post should have said "he has not sold a car cover to anyone in EUROPE") The buyer had a black/black 95 diablo with Red piping, car was hit hard on the drivers side (this is what the cover was for). He also had a wrecked Murci. He talked on the phone, guy had a southern accent, sounded a like an older guy. The buyer also had a website with a couple salvage title cars on it. From memory, he thinks the buyer's name was "Dave". Sounds like Shazam could have been the buyer??? ** $700 for a car cover, is that how much they go for? Thinking that I would buy a new one for that kind of money ** This happened a year ago, why did you wait til now to pop up? ** Why didnt you leave negative feedback on the seller? Thinking that I would buy a new one for that kind of money ** This happened a year ago, why did you wait til now to pop up? ** Why didnt you leave negative feedback on the seller? First of all I did not know Lambo Power until july this year, when I bought some items from a-b, he was kind to invite me to this site. MLA, Lamborghini Copenhagen sells carcovers for $1578, so thats why I used pay now on ebay. I know thats my money is gone, this is to warn others . I did pay to Scott, but he did not send the item. After that he might have sold the same item again to someone else, I dont know. On ebay the seller could se that the items should of to Denmark, if that have been a problem, he could have told me. The picture of the car with the blue cover is from ebay, when I used pay now, I saved the picture. We communicated for a long time bescause after I have sendt the money he told me that, he could not revieve from paypal, he could only take a personal check, nothing happend he did not pay my money back and Paypal did'nt help me, they say take to the seller.... You might think that $ 700 is a high price, and yes it might be in the US, but in Denmark the prices a skyhigh. A Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster 2007 cost 5750000 DKR it's $1067542. Thats why I use ebay. Sorry if it's me who is "the bad guy".
Andrew R. Report post Posted August 6, 2007 ** I am chimming in because Scott is banned from here , with all things aside about Scott, I cant see Scott taking money for an item and not sending anything ** Not saying you are a bad guy, it does sound like you got scammed.. but did Scott do the scamming? Scott said that he has never had a paypal account! Just for the heck of it, go into the transaction history of your paypal account and take a screen shot that shows who you sent money to.. I would be curious to see it. I am not a paypal guru, but what happens if you try and paypal to an email address of someone that does not have a paypal account? Scott says that this is the first he heard of this, and asks for you to get ahold of him ASAP, you have his email address above! Andrew R. Report post Posted August 7, 2007 I am not trying to argue against you... I believe that you got scammed.. it sucks, I got nailed for $1500 from a guy calling himself "Moe" that was ripping off people in the Viper community. Just trying to un-ravel the details! Were you able to get a hold of Scott? I was referring to a screen shot like this (this is from a diesel boost module I bought from a guy on one of the diesel forums):
