The ML63 is VERY VERY fast!!!!! Super impressive. That engine must be a blast to have in any car, and especially in a truck. :)

60-130

-5.26 for a 950 HP 9ff 997 GT3 RS TURBO with 1 shift on a 2.3% decline.

 

-7.54 for a 997 GT2 with race cats. 1 shift, 1.4% decline.

 

-7.88 for a "chipped" 996 GT2 with 530 FWHP. 0.31% decline, 1 shift.

Just a thought I had earlier today... Shouldn't someone be able to produce a V-box type application for the 3g I-phone? Considering it has built in GPS and the ability to run 3rd party software it shouldn't take much work? When more people can get a v-box in their hands we can have more fun comparing times!

Vbox runs on my 2007 E63 Amg

 

The temp was 92 degrees, humidity 50%. Best 60-130mph was 11.32 seconds on a 2.82% decline. Best 0-60mph was 4.2 sec, and best 0-100mph was 9.9 sec. I will try again some other time during more optimal conditions.

0-20 1.1

0-30 1.8

0-40 2.5

0-50 3.3

0-60 4.2

0-70 5.5

0-80 6.7

0-90 8.1

0-100 9.9

 

 

My thoughts on the car in the month or so I have had it:

 

Overall I am really loving this car. It is the most comfortable riding car I current own, and very relaxing to drive. Of course the power is there when you need it. It seats 4 very comfortably and has a ton of trunk space. I think its one of the best all around performance bargains on the market right now. I thought I was getting a boring, powerful sedan that would just get the job done, but instead I find myself frequently looking forward to driving it.

Nice! Car is quite a bit faster than Ajglobals S63! I think our best was 5.1 to 60, and 12.1 to 100mph.

Took out the F430 for some Vbox runs. Weather was finally half way decent in the morning. Temp was 78 degrees, with about 60% humidity. Just used a regular Egear launch, no power launch.

 

0-10 0.4 sec

0-20 1.2

0-30 1.9

0-40 2.6

0-50 3.6

0-60 4.3

0-70 5.2

0-80 6.4

0-90 7.5

0-100 9.1

 

Did some 60-130mph runs, and best was 10.13 seconds on a 2.7% decline.

Since weather had been better recently, took the E63 out again for some Vbox runs. Temps were around 78 degrees, and 50% humidity. Made improvements across the board. I am very impressed with the performance of this 4 door sedan.

 

0-10 0.4 sec

0-20 1.1

0-30 1.7

0-40 2.4

0-50 3.2

0-60 4.1

0-70 5.4

0-80 6.6

0-90 8.0

0-100 9.7

 

Best 60-130mph run was 10.93 sec on a 2.5% decline

Nice! We need some good stock Gallardo times now!

 

I did some vbox runs with my 06 Gallardo when it was stock, without power launch, and the best 0-60mph was 4.3 seconds. I dont know after that. I am looking to trade the F430 in for an LP560 soon. If I do that I will surely get some vbox runs in the LP560.

Tired of the F430 already?? The lack of power launch capability murders its 0-60 time. Until some one gets a good vbox run on a G, here is a timeslip of my best quarter mile run, when the car was stock.

Really? We were getting 4sec flat with Ajglobals heavy Spider pretty easily..

Not really tired of it, it is a lot of fun to drive, although it does need more power. I just want an LP560, and I dont need a 7th car, and the F430 is really the only car Id be willing to trade. If I really like the upgrades in the LP560 then I will likely consider selling my TTG, and doing the TT conversion on the LP560.

No 6 speed. But we werent launching it hard either. We got 3.6 out of the SuperG Egear.

 

doesnt matter if u were launching it hard, its a 6 speed, and its going to do better quite easily off the line than a normal egear (not power) launch. Also your SL egear launches were power launches if I remember correctly.

Yes, the SL we did Power Launches. but the 6 speed Gayjay was gentle with.

Best I could muster in the 90 degree heat with 50% humidity... Weather sucks.. It's cloudy

and muggy and I wish it would rain already..

 

 

60-130 = 1 shift.

was a pain.. I tried to drive away to a couple of remote locations

I have used in the past to run the car but STILL couldn't escape

dumb people on the road.. :D

 

 

I might try starting in the top of second next time..

With your gearing, you should do much better starting in 2nd gear. Do you have your vbox set up to write the results to the disk? If so could you download the DBN file and email it to me, I would like to take a look at the graphs.

My car will supposedly be here tomm. Soon as can get the vbox back ill start playing with mine too, although I need to find a good road to do it on.

Here is some information on the Heffner Twin Turbo Ford GT that ran 222.06 mph in the Texas mile on a very flat 0.65% decline

 

1 foot Rollout on this run accounted for 0.24 seconds. Nearly all magazines have the rollout enabled when doing their tests.

 

The first 3 shifts were 0.2 seconds, the last one was 0.29 seconds, very impressive.

 

here is the breakdown of the 0-200 mph part of the run:
