Might there be an issue with cooling of the R8 v10 if you TT it? IIRC, Audi burned up a few and abandoned the idea of using the TT V10 because it was a cooling issue. Or so they say. Sometimes I think I'm the only one on here who likes the R8, but IMO a pearl grey R8 with carbon side blades is one of the hottest cars out today - Please do post some pics when you get a chance. They're certainly a lot more rare than a Gallardo! I see at least a half dozen Gallardos every day, but to date have only seen 3 R8's on the street. Now if they would just build the damn V-12 TDI!!! I must agree... I live on Miami Beach and most cars people don't see in a life time I see daily over here, and the R8 still perks my 1st rate attention since I never see one around. I understand that our two local Audi dealers can't keep them on the floors. I've been told though that there are quite a few trade-ins or trade-ups going on with those who have bought the car thus far. It seems that it not that they have been dissatisfied, but rather not impressed. Someone always comes in and scoops it right up though...
