Got my Heffner TTG Back, Pics

Haha, some funny comments guys.

 

The house is very nice, one of a kind, endless character. It has an old world feel to it. It has many antiques and cool items from around the world incorporated into the architecture. For example, the front doors are over 200 years old and are from a brownstone in England. The fountain is from England as well and is from the 1920s. There are several antique solid mexican columns throughout the inside and outside. There is handpainted Itailian tiles in some of the bathrooms. The outer kitchen countertops are limestone and the refrigerator handles are old locks from the Nashville prison. One of the rec rooms has over 100 year old judges chamber wood panels on the walls. There is lots of exposed brick and stone as well as a lot of custom ironwork throughout the home. There is no carpet in the home and the flooring is all tile and walnut hardwood. Everything in the home is custom and made from very high end materials. Every room has a story and several special items. The house has two floors and with 60% of the sqft, all the garage spaces and covered porches on the main floor, it has a very large footprint. It's on 3 beatifully landscaped acres with a creek and many mature trees.

 

The original homeowners did a fantastic job with building the home and it took them 3 years to complete. I then spent 2 years adding onto the home and giving it the necessary upgrades. The house started out at 8200 sqft and had a 3 car garage. I added 2 more garage spots, another covered porch/balcony, as well as 3000 more liveable sqft.

I added an elevator, living room, inlaw suite with kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, sitting room, and closet with washer and dryer. The original house lacked a lot in the audio/video department, so I put that stuff in throughout the house. We went with the Crestron system and I put in a theatre room, drop down tv from the ceiling in the master, several other tvs, music throughout the house, camera system and so on. I also renovated the center of the kitchen, putting in 2 custom islands with granite counterops and large apron copper sink. Then of course last but not least I added the pool. It has an 8 foot diameter island spa with a 1000+ pound boulder bridge. There are several waterfalls and features around it as well as a build in stone gas firepit. The heated pool has a zero entry entrance and is roughly 65 feet by 45 feet and nearly 12 feet deep at its deepest point. It's in the 80,000 gallon range.

 

I could go on for days about that home....

 

In the end, the economy has taken it's toll and I was able to pick up the new home for a deal too good to pass up. It is a completely different style of home. Its quite a bit larger, has more garage space, is in a gated (with security guards) community, and has a lot of fun ammenities. It does not have the character the previous home had or the interesting history behind it, but it has some extremely nice touches. Even though the home is still fairly new, since taking possession we have done a lot of renovations and upgrades to make the home better and more suitable to our needs. We still have several projects to finish before it is where we want it, and of course we are still working on getting the furnishings complete.

Btw, I took the TTG out for some 60-130mph runs this morning now that I had straight pump gas in the tank. The conditions were nearly identical, and I ran it down the same road, but was not able to get a better time. Best time I got was 5.31 pretty close to the 5.27 I got before. All my runs were very close and consistent ranging from 5.31 to 5.44. So until it cools down substantially I dont think i will be able to improve the pump gas time. Next up, race gas setting......

Can't wait for the race gas results. I have always told myself I will get the LP640 before grabbing a TTG, but I'm having second thoughts.
