Seems hard to believe, but seems logical I guess. It was disguised and Apple has made claims they lost a prototype phone.

I doubt the authenticity of that. I think that is a fabricated story to hide how they really got it.

 

I agree that the video chat feature will be pretty cool. It could also be a pain in the ass too. It's hard to talk to the wife/girlfriend and surf porn if she can see what you are doing.

I believe the article also states this is most likely not what the final product would look like.

Internals are there. Design is not complete.

Looking forward to it, my 3G is two years old now and it's feeling it. Playing with the iPad is 1000x faster by comparison on even simple tasks. Desperately need a better camera also.

I have never had a iphone. Each time I look at them I pass for different reasons. originally it was the camera with no flash...the no picture messaging. But after seeing this phone they have finally got to the point where ill say yes i will be buying this one for sure!

June is confirmed, apparantly ATT just sent out memos telling their staff that no vacation time will be approved for that month, which is something they've done for every iPhone launch.

 

This iPhone HD, or whatever they call it, is also possibly eliminating another major bitch of mine: The dual volime buttons might be able to both be depressed as a hardware camera shutter. Having to go into the camera app, wait for everything to load, then try and handle the small-ass screen-only button while taking pics of yourself was freaking impossible.

If it becomes available for verizon, I may get one.

I am looking forward to getting an iPhone this Summer - fully plan on switching over and getting it!

These phones are so over rated...the only thing decent about this version is that it has a 16% better battery life...that's about it. The phones are good, but because of the yuppies who keep going on and on about them, just makes them worth less.

Im not gettin an iPhone even if it came with Jessica Simpson's nude photos and her personal phone number programed into contacts...

I, a known Apple-hater, recently acquired an unlocked iPhone to try. The device itself is top notch quality, but the OS is totally form-over-function, as expected from Apple. I love how integrated and solid the hardware and software feels, but they try so hard to make it "simple" it actually becomes harder to use. Lets not even go to iTunes and "syncing"...Id rather poke my ear with a rusty screwdriver than have to use that shit.

 

Imagine if your Lambo could only drive the speed limit. It would be easy to use, anybody could do it, and you would always safely get to where you're going

 

Having said that, looks like the new iPhone has a higher resolution screen (much needed) but still about the same size? Will have a hard time competing with the HTC HD2, and more specifically, the upcoming HTC Evo 4G.

 

Oh, and it has some amazing, magical, revolutionary features like front camera, rear camera flash, and multitasking? Holy shiiit never seen those before in a phone

I got me Iphone as a gift about 4 months back and although I loathe going through the whole different functions keys, having consecutively switched from Nokia -> Sony Ericsson-> Siemens -> Blackberry, I am starting to like the Iphone.
