Just sort of throwing it in there would you consider a carbon fibre roof? Because in the first pic the roof looks darker and I sort of imagined a carbon fibre theme with the engine cover and spoiler. EDIT: nevermind just read the copycat thread, forget everything I just said

I had read an article abouthow; in order to combat the failing economy local jurisdictions are "cracking down" and issueing far more tickets.......

 

Something similar happened in Canada in Toronto, where a Mini Club advised the Police of their charity drive and the poilice said 'no problem' and then set up a GIANT speed trap where the limit drops on a section of highway and picked everyone off.

There were three threads from the run so I merged them. Didn't realize the content in one was different. Car looks really good btw! Mods turned out great.

The run was a lot of fun. It was amazingly organized as well.

 

Here's the deal with PCH. The organizers and officers were VERY specific in their briefing that a girl had died on PCH do to a speeding accident in April and that they wanted us to keep it civil while on that road. They warned u that there would be a few extra patrol cars there to make sure. No problem. We were allowed to to get in some really good driving for most of the event.

 

This was my second year, and its one of the best events to do. I will post pics later.

The reason it went so well was that Malibu/Lost hills sheriff station is run by some really good guys, from the captain on down, we had many meeting with them since last year about what was needed to have a better event then last years which was a near perfect event in it self and even at the close of this event they asked what they could have done better for next year. They are impressed with our exotic cars and how so many cars can go out on a run and for the most part stay out of trouble. One time when we can all find some common ground.
