topcabron Report post Posted October 16, 2010 What are those for? Inline speedskates. These are the boots. I have some Bont magnesium frames that 110mm wheels go into. I speedskated years ago, and want to more of it. I think I was in the best shape of my life when I crosstrained with these and riding. like these
Chipster Report post Posted October 16, 2010 Where do you get something like that? I was reading in some article a couple weeks ago that skating is the number 1 calorie burner. Wouldn't mind picking that up!

topcabron Report post Posted October 18, 2010 as an exercise, greaT!!!! just curious, will you do it indoor or outdoor?is there any diference in equipment regarding that? basically the difference between indoor equipment and outdoor equipment are the wheels. Longer frames are also used outdoors, and for short track indoors, shorter frames are used. I do outdoors speedskating.

Rouleur Report post Posted October 18, 2010 probably one of the hardest workouts you can do when done right. When I lived in Naples we used to have a guy that would come out on skates and do our group ride. He would skate behind the pack for the whole ride. It was pretty amazing to see him keep up (it was a recovery ride, but still) he had no problem going 20+ mph on them.

The rides actually become a hazard because they don't expect you and you have to stroke in a larger area than a bike. The feeling of moving that fast and smooth is so cool. soup Report post Posted October 18, 2010 At first I had no idea what you were going to do with these but I used to skate when I was a kid but they weren't detachable like these. I really liked it and I wouldn't mind picking it up or doing it again.
