What are those for?

Inline speedskates. These are the boots. I have some Bont magnesium frames that 110mm wheels go into.

I speedskated years ago, and want to more of it. I think I was in the best shape of my life when I crosstrained with these and riding.

Where do you get something like that? I was reading in some article a couple weeks ago that skating is the number 1 calorie burner. Wouldn't mind picking that up!

That is so funny because it is so true. Both my parents are dutch so in the winter i went speed skating with my dad and in the summer i raced 10 speeds with him.I guess he was a good skater as he went to the olympics in 64.

as an exercise, greaT!!!!

just curious, will you do it indoor or outdoor?is there any diference in equipment regarding that?

basically the difference between indoor equipment and outdoor equipment are the wheels. Longer frames are also used outdoors, and for short track indoors, shorter frames are used.

I do outdoors speedskating.

When I lived in Naples we used to have a guy that would come out on skates and do our group ride. He would skate behind the pack for the whole ride. It was pretty amazing to see him keep up (it was a recovery ride, but still) he had no problem going 20+ mph on them.

I used to do that.....draft behind at 20+ to the disbelief of the cyclist. The rides actually become a hazard because they don't expect you and you have to stroke in a larger area than a bike.

The feeling of moving that fast and smooth is so cool.

At first I had no idea what you were going to do with these but I used to skate when I was a kid but they weren't detachable like these.

I really liked it and I wouldn't mind picking it up or doing it again.
