Underground Racing Report post Posted March 12, 2011 I want to thank Dan aka "danstar" for giving Underground Racing the opportunity to build him a beast out of his Lamborghini! We have his Gallardo setup with the Stage 2 Twin Turbo system that comes with a full engine build with some added extras to get him 950 WHP on pump gas. Thought I would share the pictures as this also being our 10th LP 560/570 TT Build.

danstar Report post Posted March 17, 2011 Well Ladies and gentlemen......I arrived at UGR on Wednesday to witness the dyno runs and test drive my "new" lp560 with the stage 2 set up. Let me back up a bit. I had never met Kevin or K.C before with exception of some very informative telephone conversations and email exchanges. Kevin assisted me with hotel reservations and was kind enough to transport me back and forth to his 2 shops. He and K.C. spent the entire day with me, explaining the set up and were extremely accommodating. The build and quality of parts was outstanding. These folks do not cut any corners. The installation is quite a work of art. That all being said, the proof is in the pudding. We started out on 93 octane and the car dynoed at over 950 wheel HP....100 more than advertised. Then came the test drive. I have been drag racing most of my life, with my last car running mid 9's on the quarter...so I did not expect to be terribly impressed. I was wrong. The car pulled very hard in all gears and acted like stock when driven sensibly. We then returned to the shop and put in C-16 VP fuel, at no extra cost I might add, and put the car back on the dyno. The boost was increased and when we went over 1200 HP, i kindly requested that that was quite enough and declined any further boost. We then again went for a test drive and it was simply amazing. Even with the ultra sticky Toyos I had them put on, we left very distinctive black lines behind the car in 3rd gear. Back at the shop, they loaded me up with UGR goodies and went over the car with a fine toothed comb to ensure the quality install proved its muster. I drove from Charlotte to Nashville without a hiccup and blew away a few crotch rockets on the way. Expensive...yes. Quality....exceptional. Customer service....outstanding. If any of you are holding out on a TT build.....all I can say is....life is short....enjoy!!!

danstar Report post Posted April 17, 2011 What are the 0-60 times? I have to peddle until 3rd....lol. The 1-2 shift comes so fast it is very difficult not to hit the limiter. I am going to take it to bowling Green for a few 1/4 mile runs and will post when done. Someone please wipe the smile off my face....my friends all think its the glow of a new woman!!! Would boost by gear eliminate the need to peddle it??? Do you have the Upgraded Clutch (Tilton)??? Any issues??? Are you still using the factory launch control??? Probably not if you're having to peddle it ........
danstar Report post Posted April 19, 2011 Would boost by gear eliminate the need to peddle it??? Do you have the Upgraded Clutch (Tilton)??? Any issues??? Are you still using the factory launch control??? Probably not if you're having to peddle it ........ The boost by gear was an option and is still under serious consideration. Having come from the drag-strip, pedaling was a way of life, so its kind of fun attempting to get the toyos to stick. I upgraded to a ceramic clutch and we are still experimenting. It is my understanding that the ceramics hold the HP and time will tell if this is the best choice. The Tilton I am told is a little more difficult to modulate on the street. Anyhow, I could not be more pleased and the folks at UGR could not be more helpful. Dan
