Finally we agree on something.

There are ton's of things we agree on, we just don't know each other well enough. BTW, I love the Cannonball Run movies, especially Farah's see through white T-shirt she wore in Part 1!

:)

Sad she lost her battle with cancer.

Everybody knows Roger Moore was the quintessential gayest Bond!!!

Fixed ^^^

Sean was the Man of all Men in the Bond Series.

If you think moore looked "rapey" there. Then check him out in boat trip. I can never see him as bond again. He truly violated a hot dog in that movie, a vision which will haunt my dreams for ever!!

Let me first clarify...I LOVE James Bond. I have seen EVERY Bond movie at least 15-20 times. I have seen the progression in character, gadgetry & storyline development over the 22 movies. IMHO Sean Connery is one of the least believeable Bonds based solely on physical appearance. He just doesn't look British. With that said Connery was a badass!!!

Casino Royal was quite possible the best bond movie ever and Craig is a very good cast. Bond movies were too goofy and these are really setting that straight. Quantum of Solace wasn't quite as good, but I think it's hard to live up to Eva Green. Her role as just a woman, rather than some Bond girl sidekick was excellent. I also didn't care for the excessive CG in Quantum of Solace in some parts. Casino Royal's opening crane scene was awesome. That CG packed glass building in Quantum of Solace, not so much.

This one looks awesome too based on that trailer, but I really hope they avoid those two pitfalls again -- please no obvious CG and action packed sidekick women.

Craig is a good cast. I was sceptical at first but have come around. He is playing more to what Ian Fleming intended the character to be. Let us not forget Bond as written by Fleming is sociopathic, amoral and homicidal.

I have seen them all that much too. Connery created the vibe of the character. He is the original and still the best.

Modern Bond films are action movies. The vintage/original Bond films were about more.

Originally, a big thing with Bond movies were the fact that they filmed on location in different countries and exotic places. Back then there was no internet, travel videos, etc. People would see cultures and areas of the world for the FIRST TIME through those movies. It was a cultural experience. If you notice, the directors always took you around town and made sure they showed you some flavor of the culture. They were about a fantasy lifestyle of being a secret agent, getting the girl, seeing the world, drinking the finest, and living the dream. It was more about style then action or substance.

Modern times rightfully leave those elements in the past. So, slowly the Bond films have moved more in to generic big action. It is all good, but they are more and more like other good action flicks, not something unique and special like the originals.

I was born way after the early ones were made, but I appreciated them for what they were and picked up on the cultural elements when I first started watching them in my teens. I found it interesting and very informative pre internet. I liked the balance they had and the emphasis on style and exotic locations.

I agree with Quantum not being as good as Casino Royale but with this being a continuing story Quantum was more of a (and I hate to say this) "filler" in order to set up for Skyfall. From the teaser, it looks like Bond is more of a rogue and the DB5 is making a comeback... I think it will be fantastic. Plus first time in an IMAX and NOT 3D. Thank Zeus.
