Rouleur Report post Posted July 1, 2013 The black car that you bought, is that what we would consider a "turbo look" coupe in the states? That car is amazing by an order of magnitude. I absolutely love it.

See if you can find a set of the 18" RS Speedlines. They are spendy but light, strong and the best looking wheel on a NB 993 IMO. LA_Brit Report post Posted July 1, 2013 It has BBS LM's - the nicest design ever made IMO! I couldn't afford them when i was younger when i had my first car - a VW Golf! Now i have them on this and they aint going anywhere...they were just bought earlier this year at a cost of $10k and i am very happy with them! medici78 Report post Posted July 1, 2013 It's called the M451 option and is known as a SuperSport. It's actually M491 which is known as the "Turbo-Look" in the US. I'm guessing this might have to do to avoid confusion with the Chevrolet Super Sport models common in the US.

Rouleur Report post Posted July 5, 2013 It's called the M451 option and is known as a SuperSport. Ok, got it. I just looked it up and, here in the states, we call it a "turbo look" for some reason. It gets you the bigger turbo brakes, the flared fenders and I think the factory Sport seats. You said you had different lightweight seats though, I think. I have been looking for one for a while that is similar to what you bought, I love the black. Seems you guys drive your cars over there much more than we do here, so finding one with the miles is a little tougher. That car is amazing. Congrats again on the purchase! I am going to subscribe to this thread, so if you get more pictures and wouldn't mind updating, that would be great!
LA_Brit Report post Posted July 5, 2013 Have a few pics but i've taken it into the shop for all the work previously mentioned and some items i just approved today: Respray the whole roof as they found a small amount of rust around the windscreen. For some reason the previous owner had the entire car resprayed bar the roof and hood, so i'll address the rust now as it's needed and i'll respray the rest of the car again at xmas as the paintwork isn't up to the standard my bodywork shop wants to see on the car. New front and rearscreen rubber seals Bought lightweight rear clusters - made by a motorsports racing team - they weigh 350grams vs standard ones that weigh 3kgs Rear Porsche red strip to get rid of the horrible Carbon fibre thing there. Spent about $12k on it so far. Labour of love! The 993 is an absolute beast! Never driven such an aggressive and tight car! ameer Report post Posted July 5, 2013 Love both of them! Congratulations again! Do you keep your cars outside exposed to the elements at all times?
LA_Brit Report post Posted July 6, 2013 Yup. Have outdoor covers for both of the 911's but it's summer - not bothering until the winter.

LA_Brit Report post Posted July 20, 2013 SS Update: The extent of my DIY: removed the metal key and placed it into a new fob! Pathetic! Head Unit installed: Door cards prepped: Sinfoni Amp: Pioneer Sub: Completely re-wired interior. Was a mess previously. Windshield out, rust found so being stripped and prepped: Look at that ducktail! To go beneath it: Light weight Clusters:
LA_Brit Report post Posted July 24, 2013 Popped over today. Vehicle should be ready by the end of next week. The quality of the paintwork is amazing - makes the rest of the car look rather ahem... Roof & Windshield painted etc: Upper doorcards retrimmed in leather, deleting the electronic window switch which was inactive:
