megachad Report post Posted October 9, 2013 I make a concerted effort to avoid her movies. The previews looked like Shit, guess my assumptions were correct. Go buy "this is the end" dvd, stay home, and laugh your ass off. I went and saw this is the end with some friends in the theaters. they were so pissed off in the first 20 minutes they wanted to leave.. I was laughing my ass off.. capt_chaos Report post Posted February 4, 2014 Saw it with the CFEG in 3d. Visuals impressive in places, couple looked too false, like they were trying too hard with the 3d effects. Concept stretched out too much and sometimes they really dumbed the dialogue down which ruined a lot for me. Ultimately I like my films realistic and granted whilst it is about space there were too many bits that disappointed me. Rawr Report post Posted February 5, 2014 Disappointing. After all the hype I thought the story was just unfolding too easy. The beginning, up to Clooney's letting go, was great. Then it was just like "well, she'll make it....somehow. It will workout." I mean they tried to make it very challenging, highlighting how easy it is to get screwed in space, but then it was all smooth - press wrong button, hear alarm, turn button off, press another, oh, all good now. And the cerebral parts should have played a much bigger role. More daughter, you can't let go that quick.
