Not sure if he's been over an XJ220 in detail, but my top independent reco is Frank at Raging Bull. He works on all exotics. Located in Costa Mesa.

And no, I am not starting a museum. I have an acquaintance interested in purchasing an XJ200 and is inquiring about a PPI. Happy ?

Canepa design has an xj220 under going restoration. They are in Northern CA though. When it comes to a car like xj220, you need to get ppi done by a specialty shop. Hope you find one in Socal.

I didn't even think about them, but Bruce is the MAN!

Hey LPDaddy,

Is this the one from Harry Appleby (Viking) ?

Anyway you need a company that kinda knows English cars and perhaps Lotus prepared by Claudius may be a possibility for you. They are a specialist shop not to far from LA http://www.lotuspbc.com/

Worth a try !

I am not sure. From what I gather, the interested party is looking at 2 cars, one of them being auctioned this weekend in Scottsdale.

Thank you for your reply.

Harry Appelby was the owner of Viking Motorsports in Coast Mesa CA and had a BRG (British Racing Green) one in his shop for many years. He just passed away recently and I thought it may surface as part of an estate liquidation.

Good luck with it.

This.

If you can't find someone to check it out. Get me a lift and I'll go through it. I know someone who is well versed in XJ220's (not in CA) and can get smart on the car and check out the important things on top of general stuff. LMK.

Daddy...Webster was raving about one of his guys out in LA that went to look at a 6.0 for him

http://www.lambopower.com/forum/index.php?...t&p=1094004

Websters words (hard to quote properly on my phone)

AutoConcierge are the best. They have a top-notch storage facility in Santa Monica with security, lounge, and more. They can do all the default stuff in-house: alignment, wheels, tires, whatever. And they can coordinate with the dealerships on your behalf to get more serious issues taken care of. They also have the best damn Xpel clear bra wrapper in the business (he did my entire Agera to stunning results). They can install radar detectors etc.

And their main mechanic Amir has an X-ray vision for inspecting cars. He can spot a mismatched paint job from 100 yards away smile.gif. When I'm interested in a car that's local, I never bother to go check it out myself: Just send AutoConcierge and Amir!

They've made my car ownership experience so much more painless. I _highly_ recommend that you get in contact with Scott and gang if you need anything they offer. Their website is http://autoconcierge.co (not .com).
