derekfc Report post Posted August 11, 2017 he just edited the ad with a 95k buy it now. that seems like a good deal to be perfectly honest. 100-150k into restoration and youd still be under the curve, albeit with a branded title. Cabbe Report post Posted August 11, 2017 But would you really want to drive it? The ad even says it's had "extensive fire damage".

key03 Report post Posted August 11, 2017 Doc K you should be buying this instead of making fun of it. Here is your entry point. Fix it up as you enjoy it. It is a side draft after all and you know it can be put right with some time and effort. Nothing is perfect. Have no fear of perfection; you'll never reach it- Salvador Dali

Have no fear of perfection; you'll never reach it- Salvador Dali I really like your advice and I truly would love to make this car right. While I could definitely take out a loan right now and buy it, I can't do that. As others made fun of a guy in another thread for doing the same thing, I have to agree with those people to a certain degree. While I'm very young with no kids and have the time to fix something up like this (and as much as I'd love to), it's not the car for me. I have three major inventions I'm working on, 1 I'm pitching to a billion dollar business before year's end, another I'm trying to pitch or get in front of big manufacturers, and the third about to go into production soon. I've been working on these ideas and things for the last 3 years so that I can afford a Countach and have a better life. I honestly think that this is where my interest needs to stay at the moment and very soon if things workout, I can afford the car that I want. I haven't gone to college yet, the last 7 years of my life have been in the military, so I gotta make sure I don't fcuk this up. I love your quote though and honestly do appreciate the advice. abolfaz Report post Posted August 12, 2017 Youre not making this car right.. The body is replica. I think the only real parts are the drivetrain. Chassis seems homemade.
IanMan Report post Posted August 12, 2017 I agree with you guys. The amount of money that it would take to make this right outweighs the amount it would cost to get a solid car. If I were to fix something like this, I can't imagine stripping it myself and having it done improperly. He said it had a modified frame. That's a huge no in my book. Frame would have to be sent to Marchesi and done right. That alone would cost $50K right there, I'm sure. On another note, I was offered two LP400S's at the beginning of this year, when my time comes. I want a QV, but still, I'd rather spend the extra money on one of those than to own this mess. IanMan Report post Posted August 12, 2017 Perfect strategy, work your ass off rewards will come! Thank you Fortis! I found out some more info about that car on another forum. Apparently the Engine isn't even a Countach Engine. Someone said it was likely taken from an Espada or another Lambo. The Chassis is apparently replica too. None of the car is original. So we have a replica with a Lamborghini Engine from not even a Countach. What a cluster fcuk.

IanMan Report post Posted August 12, 2017 Suddenly 90k is starting to sound expensive! Right? Especially when you can buy a fully refurbished Countach QV Downdraft engine for around that price.

key03 Report post Posted August 12, 2017 okay, I thought the seller said 50% of the body was replaced with plastic. I only assumed portions of the frame, where it burned had been replaced. I guess it is worse than I thought and I can see where its value is seriously diminished and not worth restoring. I know you'll get your Countach Doc_K soon enough.
