This is a tough one, because... based on no proof of it being a factory SVJ (that I have seen) we subtract 15% from what it would have sold for not being modified, an SV.

 

The SV auction result in Monterey was about 2M. So 2M - 15%= $1.7M (if the market has not changed since Monterey)

 

But we have also seen uneducated buyers buying whatever happens to be for sale for big money. (as many of us have seen with various models)

 

So, based on my feeling, I think it will be less than 2M.

 

 

But then again... maybe there is a buyer than loves the look of the Jota and has to have one.. and has the bucks. Or, many there is a buyer that thinks this is real and rare and it will only go up....

 

This is a tough one to call with all the variables!

Thing is, if the buyer is just itching for an SVJ, what are they going to do, cut up a Miura? They're too valuable at this point, even the P400. I agree that an original SVJ would likely command a particular premium, but there has to be a demand out there for later cut jobs too (which is all the original ones were anyway). Looks like the Jota conversion on this car was done no later than 1974, and from the factory.

 

I'm betting 3.6m.
