  1. McLaren keeps impressing me big time! I really like the car!
  2. AR LH adds that I use (The first two I would recommend for any LH or RH shooter): https://www.rainierarms.com/axts-raptor-amb...g-handle-5-56mm http://www.battlearmsdevelopment.com/bad-a...ctor-ar15-ar10r https://www.magpul.com/products/firearms-ac...-device-ar15-m4 https://troyind.com/products/ambidextrous-magazine-release
  3. Makes sense but you should be shooting with both eyes open with pistol, carbine, etc.
  4. I am left handed and have never shot a LH made gun...I build guns and do not even build myself a LF gun...not even a bolt gun. Main reason being is because I want to be proficient with any weapon and 99% of the time if a weapon is given to me it is going to be RH. Please keep him on RH weapons. For an AR platform their are several things you can add to the weapon to make him proficient in mag changes, bolt release, Bambi safety, etc. For pistols he will get used to mag releases or their are some that can change mag release...but again keep him using RH weapons. A great thing to start them when they are young is getting them proficient in being ambi...bc their are a lot of times I will switch from LF to RH...esp in CQB.
  5. So true! Right on Assman! Welcome to LP...you are going to get used to the members personalities quickly...very diverse group and some with a great sense of humor so do not get offended with most comments until you get to know who you are communicating with LOL. With that said you will not find a more informed group of people on Lamborghini's anywhere.
  6. the 260 and 6.5 are very close. A lot of great articles out there comparing the two rounds and then deciding which round is better for what you are going to use the weapon for.
  7. The Cadex Defense and AI chassis are my two favorite. We have had great success with them. When Cadex first came out we did have some issues with holding zero on the bigger builds (300 WM/338Lapua) because the bolts would loosen up over time. Since their upgrades in 2016 we have not seen those issues arise. A lot of our builds are .260 right now just because the ballistics are amazing and solid gel testing compared to other rounds. So we are not doing a lot of 300 WM like the past for the Mil/agency vendors for bolt guns. We have a couple precision rifle builds for sale right now at Scottsdale Gun Club...both with McMillan A5 stocks (a .260 and a 308). We can certainly build anything you wish as well. Some of our builds...(images)
  8. Oh man...that did not last long. Tire Rack called me today because I put a note to make sure manufacture date is within last twelve months. I am pretty impressed they called me to state I got the last two front tires and right rear getting shipped out today all with manufacturer date in 2016. The LR is coming next week from another location. Can't believe these are that hard to get.
  9. Good advice. I may buy a set. Currently the Corsa's are in stock and for the set $1,554! My PZero tires are original tires on my 2007 LP640 and are starting to crack. Time to replace them for sure! I do have a set of rear tires I can at my office that are min 50% (and dated I think 2012 or 2014) from my other Murcie Pzero Rosso but want to put all new Corsa's on the LP640.
  10. Making a muscle car all wheel drive completely takes the fun out of the car. That is what is so fun about having a muscle car = burnouts and drifting. If I wanted an all wheel drive car then I would have gotten a GTR. But, that is not what I want - just my .02 Found this today and the reason for my post...Hellcat beat the new ZL1 (stock vs stock) by a car length it appears to me. Note though the Hellcat is an automatic and the ZL1 is a stick (the automatics should be out this spring). That is extremely close and I am sure if you did auto vs auto or manual vs manual it would be a win for the ZL1. Pretty impressive for both cars.
  11. The Z/28 front tires are 305 so would not surprise me they are the same size on the 1k HP build.
  12. Excited for you bWILKINS !!! Take pics and keep us posted on your experience with it! You really can not go wrong with that car as a daily!
  13. Totally agree! I have to admit if the McClaren held its value I would be driving a McClaren rather than my 2007 LP640. I love the LP640 but driving that then a example below like a 2014 with 2k miles and newer technology, better shifting and braking, and a car that handles better than the LP just makes more sense....BUT the only reason I will not do the 2014 McClaren over for example my car or a same priced 2009 LP640 (links below) is because the LP640 are holding their value while the McClaren has shown in the past to clearly depreciate too fast for me. With that said I am extremely impressed with McClaren and I know the local Scottsdale McClaren dealer sells a ton of their cars. I see a lot more McClarens around town now than Lambos. The 675LT is just an amazing car for the money. Definitely would be hard pressed if I had the choice between that and an Aventador. These are the only two manufacturers I would buy from right now at this price point. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2009-Lamborghini-M...em=122281836317 http://www.ebay.com/itm/2014-McLaren-MP4-1...em=132025627311
  14. Correct new the Z/28 sold for $76k. They took a big hit because so many people thought they were too track focused. BUT, that is what I personally love about the car - aggressive handling and braking. I honestly can not say enough good things about the car and how it handles. the carbon ceramic brakes are amazing. The Z/28 will be just like the 69 Camaro Z's that are worth a fortune now because of the rarity of the car. Not saying I will hold onto the car that long but it will be one of those cars in 30 years. I have only seen one other Z here where I live. With that said though their are only a handful of Hellcats here too.
  15. I have driven my friend's Hellcat several times and a fun car indeed and a great daily driver. May I suggest you test drive the 2017 Camaro ZL1 first? The sticker is around $62k and for a four seater and 650 HP it is a great car and more fun to drive then the Hellcat. The Hellcat is fun in a straight line but feels heavy in turns, suspension okay, brakes okay. The ZL1 suspension and all around fun car as a daily I feel would be a bigger hit for you. I currently have a supercharged 2015 Camaro Z/28 and love the car. The suspension and brakes are amazing and the LS7 motor with the mods is incredible. I have raced my friend's Hellcat several times from a stop and rolling and was close but did beat him every time (my car is running 718 whp). With that said their are some stock 2015 Z/28 out there for $45-50k range with less than 8k miles. It is a pretty fun car and would also make a fun daily driver. A lot of fun options out there for the price point. Stock the Z/28 runs 500 HP from the LS7 but on a windy road their is no way the Hellcat will keep up just because the Z will out brake and handle the Hellcat. Keep us posted what you end up buying!
  16. I do not know a newer model car (2013 or newer) that is over $200k used that would not easily lose $10k a year in depreciation over the next couple years. So if you are not comfortable losing over $50k in depreciation over 4-5 years then you need to look at older model cars that are holding their value and have taken the depreciation hit. An LP640 or Murcie would be a great option for you.
  17. I have seen the car around Scottsdale. I am not a fan of the wrap nor the color choice. The car exhaust sounds really good. I am sure Brian at SuperCar Specialist can provide more details. I have no idea who the owner is.
  18. Gotta Love LP and the members! Very diverse group and always fun to see what people are posting and to get honest opinions, experiences and input. I am honored to be a LP'r and whenever I have time I will always check in to see what's happening! Thank you LP Crue!
  19. You have a couple options for doing an SBR: 1. If you already have a 16" AR15 just do the stamp on your existing lower and you can buy a 10" - 11.5" upper and swap from 10 to 16 with one lower to save funds. Their are several uppers I would recommend like KAC, LWRC (if want piston), BCM, Noveske, Daniel Defense, etc: http://www.operationparts.com/knights-arma...-receiver-assy/ http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BCM-BFH-11-...fh-kmr-a-10.htm https://www.lwrci.com/p-499-ic-a2-sbr-upper.aspx 2. Buy a complete build from one of these manufacturers. We currently have MIL/GOV fulfillment so we unfortunately can not do any other builds at this time.
  20. Badass! Pass down from generation to generation!
  21. Great to hear that members are sharing their Lambos and their passion to other enthusiasts!
