  1. There is no difference they just changed the name on the button.
  2. This is my favorite color, Monterey blue
  3. This is the carbon fiber tub of a future hybrid Ferrari. http://www.topspeed.com/cars/car-news/ferr...s-ar135552.html
  4. The weekend toy is fun same top speed a couple tenths slower to 60 but taking it anywhere is an event.
  5. As I posted before I am looking to replace my DB9 it is not really a DD anymore, I use it about 3 days a week 50 miles round trip to go to the office and a general knock around car. I was really considering the MP4 -12c vs the new Aston Vanquish. I was ready to go with the Aston but I was able to spend some time in and around the new F12 Berlinetta, and now I think that will really fill the bill. I still have my Murci LP640 for Sunday entertainment, and a new SRT8 jeep for the mall and parking lots and transporting extra people. The only negative I see with the F12 is a long wait to get one not ever being a Ferrari buyer before puts you behind everyone else. Please any opinions welcome on why that would not be a car to run around in and have fun, and any ideas how not to be at the back of the long waiting list. I have no intention of getting rid of my Murci it is just a great fun car but a Sunday car only..
  6. I have been trying to decide what to replace my Aston Martin DB9 with it is just my regular car I guess you could call it a daily driver but really I just use it 3 days a week to drive to work about 45 miles round trip. I still like lots of performance in all my cars. On Sundays I have my LP640, and to go to a mall or if I need to park outside somewhere or carry crap, I have a new SRT8 Jeep. So after reading all the negative posts about the Mclaren I think it fits my needs perfectly I want a car that is fast as it can be, but rides nice and handles well, doesn't make a racket and is not an event to go out in like my Murcie. I was ready to go for the new Aston Martin Vanquish about the same price loaded 300 grand. But now I must reconsider the Mc It look nice but not over the top, it rides like a lexus but handles like a race car when need be, and is fast as hell. So I think all the negatives that I read in the thread is making me rethink things. I am planning another test drive in the canyons with an updated car on sunday.
  7. How about some opinions on using the McLaren as a daily driver. My DB9 daily driver has been perfect but now has 70,000 miles and I am ready to replace it with the new Vanquish, I was thinking the McLaren could also fill the bill, the only thing is the Mc is more like my LP640 which is my Sunday car. I don't know if it doesn't makes sense to get more of a GT like the Aston. The new Vanqush is a big improvement over my DB9 but when you get up to 300 grand for a daily driver you can really choose from most anything but comfort is still important. Opinions please
  8. There are some nice houses in Calabasas park about 6 or 7 gated community's not as much land as you may want, take a look along Mulholland highway there are some really big and private places with views and land, but you need to stay a bit back from the road every Sat and Sun all the bikes and exotics are heading into the canyons pretty noisy. That area is also cooler the ocean breeze comes in every day about 3 to 5 o'clock
  9. Bell Canyon is not the way to go. If you need a list of reasons let me know
  10. I have been living in Calabasas for 26 years I drive to Beverly hills every day at 6 am and back at 1 pm 25 minutes going 35 returning, the reason most people have moved there is it is not in the city of LA and has its own school system people don't want LA schools for there kids. If you want Info on all the areas to live and drive and restaurants and car stuff let me know.
  11. Andrew this is great news, it was driving me crazy all week I couldn't figure out how it could possible be that they would not kill to keep you there, no one seemed to know what was really going on. But it turned out for the best. Looking forward to seeing you at our next event.
  12. I was in showroom a few weeks ago and stood behind a Reventon holding a picture of the back of the A car, to me it looked like a bad screwed up copy. The top lights were very much the same but everything else was out of proportion the Reventon looked good the A car rear was a mismatched copy the proportions were off.
  13. I agree as far as the new technology the car has it all at least enough to make someone with a Murcie want to upgrade, but in the looks department they missed the boat. In following all the posts for the past month I didn't read anyone say anything negative about the new car except maybe the Trans or the lack of direct injection, the car is a 8 or 9 in the technology department but is really lacking in the updated looks department if I am wrong why are so many people complaining about the way it looks. C car to D car great D car to M car great M car to A car maybe not so much. Its not the car it is the lack of a dramatic new look that is missing.
  14. To me it looks like an updated G car, drop 2 cylinders and it would have made a great G car replacement.
  15. Sold out means they will sell all there cares to there dealers that is sold out, but than the dealers need to sell them, that's what really sold out is.
  16. What do you mean it looks like, I thought it was the Gallardo replacement , it looks like the Gallardo it has the Gallardo mirrors and interior buttons the front is G car the side is G car but they changed the back I wondered why they added 2 extra cylinders. It makes a pretty good Gallardo replacement but not a Murcie replacement there it falls short. When does the real Murcie replacement come out. Now I know why all the Gallardo owners love it.
  17. To me it looks like if you cross a G with a M you get an A
  18. To me it looked like they took an LP640 and sent it to three different tuners to add they own ideas, there is something every were that doesn't need to be there.
  19. I never thought I would live longer enough to hear you say that, a few months ago at the LA private showing as soon as they took the cover off the LP700 I turned to my friend and said the exact same thing and posted my opinion here thinking no one would agree. It doesn't mean I will go out and buy a 458 but I will go down to the garage and polish my LP640.
  20. Thanks I have been going through all 1374 pages, It is pretty much the same as the LP640 but it would be nice to get that one, if you know how to get it let me know. How do you find what you want on there I didn't see a way to ask unless you knew the code.
  21. How do you find the LP640 workshop manual
  22. Something seemed wrong with both of them. I can't decide who was the bigger idiot.
