  1. Los Angeles's only pro football team........... Yes they are getting paid. Fun to go to the games....SC fans are awful though, my bestfriend is one.
  2. when I saw it in 06, the conversion was so good, it looked like it came from the factory. The car has presence.
  3. That car was at LOC when I bought my 06 G in 06. It is a one off and looks pretty good in person.
  4. We can probably drop $100-$150k on it. I would like to dive off it and fish, take it to Mexico once in a while though it has to sleep at least six and have kitchen etc. Probably be used 2 to 3 times a month.
  5. Looking for something 35-40 foot range. A buddy of mine and I are thinking about getting one and sharing time with each our of families. Anybody got any recommendations, things to avoid, hidden costs, taxes, maintenance, insurance, gas vs diesel etc. Any input would be appreciated.... Thanks in advance
  6. G, You've put a shitload of miles on it since I last saw you......
  7. Slow car, a BMW 335i will dust it. If you get a manual the shift lever is too far back, plus it has a notchy gear change. Autos are sloppy and even slower. Early models are understery plus there are issues with suspension tuning....bouncy. Buy the latest one you can afford..........avoid the 4.3 engine, it is a dog. Slow to rev. Drive a new one off the lot and it is worth $35k less before you make your first left turn... My wife loves them.......then again I have hated every car she has bought. And after six months of ownership she hated it too. Family member works for Aston..........he doesn't recommend 4.3 cars.
  8. I would terminate as fast as possible. He has violated your trust, other employees may be aware of what is going on, he needs to made an example. However if the employee is critical I would back fill first. Isolate the employee's ability to alter the commission report. Change your system so this cannot happen again, I would look at all areas to close loop holes and eliminate future issues. Depending on whether the proof is cut and dry, I would terminate with cause with a witness. In a business I was brought into restructure several years ago, I had a manager that was embezzling. We threatened legal action, it was cut and dry and made him pay back the amount which was around $30,000.
  9. I agree Tanner Foust is about as interesting as watching paint dry. It is one the least entertaining car shows....what's with the kissing up the cops, really irritating. Recently they added an annoying blonde who knows nothing about the cars she is driving and she is ugly..... Top Gear blows it out of the water.
  10. You guys are missing one thing.....Schumacher brought Brawn to Ferrari along with a bunch of other Benetton people.
  11. I will have to see it in the flesh for final approval........ Looks like the best looking Ferrari in at least decade. Ferrari has had to up it's game, hire a designer and stop putting out blobs and built attractive fast car. Lambo owner's don't cross shop the California/Lexus.
  12. Top ten F1 drivers in IMO. Senna/Schumacher Fangio Prost Clark Lauda Stewart Piquet Moss Mansell
  13. Watch Senna driving in the rain......Senna had Prost and Mansell as foils. Prost won more races.....Senna was the better driver, certainly more committed, even Prost acknowledges that. Schumacher never really had anybody to challenge him in his prime......and no Mika Häkkinen doesn't count.
  14. refueling, no tire warmers, smaller wings, no underbody aero. then you'll see some passing.
  15. Another update from speedtv.com All three Force India drivers have emerged as potential candidates to replace Felipe Massa at Ferrari, assuming number choice Michael Schumacher decides against a comeback. In fact much depends on what the eventual prognosis for Massa is. Although it’s widely assumed that he will be out for the season, there has still been no official word on that. On the other hand their remains a possibility that he won’t able to drive at the start of 2010, and the team may well have to find a longer term solution. Ferrari is known to want a driver who is fast enough to keep Kimi Raikkonen on his toes. While Marc Gene is regarded as good enough to drive or a race or two – and may yet be an interim solution for Valencia – he is unlikely be thought competitive enough to do seven races. Having not taken part in any kind of race since 1996 Luca Badoer does not fit the bill, and did not help his cause by cracking two ribs in a karting accident two weeks ago. The team believed to be keen to take a driver who is up to speed with the current cars and slick tires, and while Sebastien Bourdais fits that bill – and is looked after by Massa’s manager Nicolas Todt – he will probably be regarded as damaged goods after his sacking by Scuderia Toro Rosso. However, Ferrari can at least get a realistic assessment from the engineers who have worked with him at Toro Rosso. While taking Fernando Alonso half a season early has some sense to it will be almost impossible for Flavio Briatore to justify any financial windfall to Renault or his sponsors, as his team will be left without a frontline driver at a time when any points are priceless. Although all other teams have test drivers who might be on the market, none has done any mileage since the start of the season, and most are either inexperienced at F1 level or are regarded as being at the end of their careers. Logic suggests that the only current team that might be willing to come to a commercial arrangement and has suitably qualified drivers is Force India. Giancarlo Fisichella has obvious appeal and could be just the man to fill in for seven races without any strings attached regarding future commitments. He will be regarded as a safe pair of hands who can score points. Adrian Sutil’s recent performance in Germany underlined that he has speed, even if doubts may remain over his ultimate potential. However Ferrari may believe that the team – and specifically race engineer Rob Smedley – could get the best out of him. Test driver Tonio Liuzzi is also a possibility. Although he has only briefly driven the 2009 car in testing he has at least done some racing miles in the Ferrari-backed A1 GP series. Ferrari has the benefit of having inside knowledge of all the drivers because all three have used its customer engines in recent years, at Force India or STR, and thus as with Bourdais the team can draw on data and the opinions of its engineers. Should Ferrari ultimately take any of the Force India drivers it will have to come to a deal with Vijay Mallya. Matters are complicated because the two teams did not part on entirely amicable terms when Mallya switched to Mercedes power for 2009.
  16. I am amazed how often this topic comes up........... It's a non starter unless you enjoy being audited. Might as well post a neon sign saying "AUDIT ME". If you are trying to deduct a Lamborghini, the IRS will be all over you looking at all your deductions. In the end, legitimate deductions will be audited too and potentially denied. Plus fines. My parents got on the bad side of the IRS, they were audited 10 yrs in a row.........after year 2, they stopped fcuking around on their taxes and they were still fined and charged penalties for next 8 years. As my CPA tells me, your tax return is a story.....and it's a non-fiction tale. Needs to be believable....not necessarily true. Deducting Lamborghini's for 99.999999% of the population is pure fiction. Hence the red flag.
  17. It won't be his dream drive if Alonso is there..........
  18. I doubt Vettel would be on the block, he really represents the future of F1. With Newey on board and the money Red Bull is willing to spend they could pull off a Schumacher like run of 4 or 5 championships - he's that talented. Christ, he won a race in Minardi nee Torro Rosso. It would be cool to see Bourdais get another crack in competitive equipment. Look for a fast car did for Button, its transformed his reputation. Gonna be an interesting season.
  19. I agree about the testing ban for rookies. Schumacher's manager just ruled out Valencia, probably because Michael never raced there. But he would not rule out Spa, Monza etc. Here is the article on the speedtv.com website. News about a possible comeback for Michael Schumacher is speeding as quickly as Ferrari's Formula One car down a long Monza straight. Having said already Tuesday that the prospect of seeing the seven time world champion in injured Felipe Massa's car at Valencia next month can be ruled out definitively, Schumacher's manager Willi Weber has admitted a return later in 2009 remains a possibility. "I have excluded a comeback in Valencia. With regards to Spa and Monza, I would not like to express myself," Weber is quoted as saying by Auto Bild Motorsport. It is also reported that 40-year-old German's reported neck injuries, sustained in a motorcycle testing crash earlier this year, would not be an obstacle to a Schumacher return. It is believed Schumacher was considering contesting the IDM (German superbike) race in Holland late in August. As for the longer-term future of the F60 raced until Hungary by Brazilian 28-year-old Massa, team boss Stefano Domenicali on Tuesday left no doubt when he said "that's his (Felipe's) car
  20. You make some great points. I think the test driver route is the most likely considering the ramp up curve. Brawn looks like they have lost the plot. Though with Mc Laren and Ferrari improving plus Webber and Vettel splitting points they still might squeak out the championship. Massa was fast in the dry, he has been awful when it rains.
  21. The rumour is Alonso will get Raikonnen's seat next year and Raikonnen may be headed back to Mc Laren. Horrible story I hope he makes a full recovery, not a fan of him as a driver, but he seems like a decent person.
  22. Barrichello did slow down as the car lost ride height at speed. He did not make it out of Quali 2.
  23. It glanced off the Ferrari's bodywork and then struck him. It was a rear center spring that they use to keep the ride height stable at high speed. His helmet is carbon fiber and the lense he uses is bullet proof. They are saying he has eye damage, though they are not sure how severe. It is unlikely he will race again this year, I suspect it's 50/50 whether he ever drives an F1 car again. He may have minor brain damage and possible eye damage. Rumors are swirling about who will fill his seat - Schumacher, or one of the 2 back up Ferrari drivers. Boudaris is a possibility as well, his manager Todt, is also Massa's and has very close ties to Ferrari.
  24. These guys did my 15k service on my 06 G. At least a thousand dollars less than the dealer. I was very happy.
