  1. Definitely cool of a fellow member to get that signed picture arranged for Reagan. Best wishes to her after surgery today and I'm hopeful the picture will lift her spirits afterwards! LPower is the best.
  2. I hear you Zmydust, and I understand what you mean. I do not have any skin in the game to tell me that was truly said or not. I acknowledge the news media in general doesn't have the best track record of being right. This morning, I was scouting the news as I do each day and do my best to find multiple sources before even posting anything here. My thoughts were clouded being so disgusted by the behavior of looting, has me more disgusted when I see some report hinting it may have been allowed. I think I'll just take a break on the thread, it may be good to just read. Happy that you shared your view, we can have a discussion, and all is good.
  3. I have seen it on multiple news outlets that have been used to post articles on LP before. http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2015/04/br...-only-property/ http://dailycaller.com/2015/04/29/fox-repo...hem-loot-video/ And the newscast video... about 35 seconds into the video: My fault for not throwing in those links in my original post.
  4. Baltimore Law Enforcement source says the police received the following order from the Mayor: "Let them loot, it's only property." When the source was asked directly if that order came from the mayor, he replied: "You are goddamn right it was." If that's true, I guess we've been looking at it all wrong guys! It's only property! Someone's business or livelihood ransacked, looted, and/or burned to the ground - hey, only property! Someone's only means of automotive transport stolen and/or burned - hey, only property! Easy to say when it isn't YOUR property, "Mayor".
  5. To expand upon the above and the videos that you posted RD, it has been known that Sharpton meets with Obama pretty regularly. He tends to show up to each and every one of these cities to keep the work up. Beyond that he has his own agenda pursuing monetary gain from it all as well, of course. I don't put anything past them, working together or separate. It is also not rocket science or too far fetched to believe that there are professional agitators afoot. Some may even be under the guise of "community organizers" if you will, with a purpose to stir up the most unrest as possible. I, like most people, would love for when an incident happens for an investigation to be complete or near completion with full facts coming out so everyone knows what is at play. Should the evidence support those officers responsible be charged and tried than that is what will come. Holding people accountable for breaking the law goes both ways. But like RD stated, some important little details are simply left out or under reported. By then the mobs have made up their minds.
  6. Simply joyful. (Might need a tissue.) Every time an exotic or super-car owner/dealer does something like this, it is magical.
  7. Playing in an empty stadium, kind of interesting as far as sports in America goes. Seen it happen to soccer [football] matches in Europe and elsewhere but to my knowledge/memory it's not as common the US. Will they still televise the game, perhaps? EDIT: Also it appears there is a similar online post made as there has been yesterday insinuating another riot or as this bunch call it "purge" (from that movie of the same name) is on the way today @ 3:30 EST. Seems like they want a repeat of yesterday.
  8. Guess the Mayor was too busy asking that the Baltimore Police Department “give those who wish to destroy, space to do that.” Hope that the chaos stays clear enough away from you, TTSL, be safe.
  9. I hate this, it is so pointless. Keep shitting where you eat, dickheads. Gov called in National Guard, hope they are ready. They really ought to be starting to deploy by now.
  10. Absolutely floored by this. So young and like everyone who knew him has said, he was a nice guy to be around. We hung out in Columbus and Pittsburgh, cruised in his first green Gallardo. ^"Gilligan" was there, we both liked Rob. I wish I would have reached out to him recently. I had no idea. Him being in Florida, I had wanted to plan a trip to visit him. Our schedules didn't seem to work out and then time goes by and I lost track of who's doing what and probably haven't messaged him in a year or more. I'll always remember the times cruising with him. Whenever I did talk to him I reminded him of how much that it meant to me that he shared the joy of his Lambo with me. RIP Rob
  11. News reported the initial traffic stop for a tail light violation was in a parking lot of a business. So they had to get from there to this grass fenced area. There is also discussion of a Taser being used or attempted to be used. In the video there are the small coiled wires of a Taser extended toward the man who was shot. Honestly though, this guy is not a fast guy, you can see. Take cover, stay back, call for backup and set the perimeter. Likely he'll be rounded up and off to jail to explain why he ran. The officer was wrong. The threat, whether it truly existed or not, was in retreat and at that point shooting someone in the back is an action which will, as I've understood, leave the person with the firearm as the aggressor. Decisions were made and those decisions were wrong as far as this scenario looks to have played out.
  12. ^^ Excellent ground clearance! I love the line "car turns heads..." Yeah I'd stare at it too, asking myself "Why, oh why, is that shitbox on the road?"
  13. Sounds like one awesome trip right there. Thanks for an awesome write-up Capt! Love that Speciale, LA_Brit, hadn't seen a white w/black stripes before. Laughed out loud at work at the hotel invoice picture.
  14. Haven't been around a while but haven't seen this here yet. http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/article/2560750 Obama wants to use executive action to ban 5.56mm ammo. First part of the article...
  15. I followed Dave's SV in my car on a short cruise in Sept and I can attest to the loudness. My girlfriend got the priveledge to ride in the car and she said they could only really talk at red lights, had to yell though. Her first ride in a Lambo ever, and I put her in Dave's TTSV . She understood why I'm always on about Lambos after that.
  16. I like it, it's a different kind of Aventador and I also agree the 50th is separate and awesome in its own right. I hope to see an SV in person because that is always the best way to take in the entire look. I look forward to other colors as well. I think that's sometimes the the fun part when the new Lambos come out, seeing what color(s) makes the car "right" for you.
  17. Excellent article. I hope that Congress has the balls to put the brakes on this runaway train... I just have many doubts about that though.
  18. CHADW, after reviewing the thread I saw that you pretty much hit the nail on the head with the power plant and gearbox, probably even pricing.
  19. Ohio boy, Go Buckeyes! I'm excited for a good game!
  20. What do you guys think of this interview with Saudi billionaire Prince Alwaleed bin Talal? Saudi prince: $100-a-barrel oil 'never' again The main point of the headline comes from his answer to the question: Q: "Will prices continue to fall?" A: "If supply stays where it is, and demand remains weak, you better believe it is gonna go down more. But if some supply is taken off the market, and there's some growth in demand, prices may go up. But I'm sure we're never going to see $100 anymore. I said a year ago, the price of oil above $100 is artificial. It's not correct." He also thinks the Saudis are 'in bed with the Russians' regarding hurt from the oil price slump, not a concerted effort to put any political pressure on Russia; "[the Saudis] would be shooting [themselves] in the foot" if that were the case.
  21. I noticed an article last week. It started January 3rd and went on for days in Nigeria. Whole villages gone. Boko Haram is a major terrorist faction that should also be wiped out along with ISIS.
  22. There is no audio in this clip, so there is nothing wrong with your speakers. Just a rolling viewpoint.
  23. Some others... Car has presence, I am really liking this!
  24. Reading "Twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 with more than 600 horsepower." Damn, damnity, damn damn damn!
  25. ^ Asterion... ? Why? Because it also happens to be blue? I'm sorry, they don't really look like each other to me. I like the GT more.
