  1. Happy to be a part of your collection experience! It’s a fantastic R8, and a well deserved reward for all your hard work.
  2. I don't have any confidence left in getting info.
  3. Viola Parsifae I think it's an absolutely gorgeous color. ------------------------------ The drag videos were awesome to see, thanks Brooks! 720S is blisteringly fast, those are impressive numbers and I can't say much else that hasn't already been said. 9 second stock McLaren that isn't on the hyper-car level (P1, 918, Chiron) is testament to the leaps McLaren has made on their cars.
  4. Anybody curious about the security guard that was shot? (Jesus Campos) MGM wiped him from the database in their system. He was not registered as a security guard in Nevada. He's yet to come forward with any information. Maybe still dealing with the FBI investigation, I don't know. He has armed private security outside his house for the past few days guarding it. The business of the security company, called On-Scene, has no valid business license in the state of Nevada. License expired in Jan 2017, company has no physical address. Yet there is a guard from this company there, at all times. Unmarked car sits outside the house, which is not the security guard's vehicle, he drives a truck. Campos schedules a TV interview for last night, actually 5 interviews, and then cancels all of them hours before. He is now back to not talking. FBI, DHS keeping him locked down? For what? According to the LVMPD, he discovered the shooter, took a bullet in the leg, and then credited by LVMPD as instrumental in getting the shooters location to officers. Regarded as a hero... I like the discussion we're all having. This whole investigation appears to be a clusterfuck.
  5. The timeline just changed a bit after tonight's briefing. The security guard was shot 6 minutes BEFORE the concert was fired upon. That puts time around 9:59pm. Guard was shot through the door. The security guard then radioed down what happened to hotel security. Police did not know he he been shot until they encountered the guard when they reached the 32nd floor. Police said they were fired upon while in the hallway, an estimated 200 rounds. This might also account for the different sounds in videos that we've seen. He was firing toward the hallway at the police at some point. The fact he had to fire at police to suppress their advancement and switch back to firing at the concert, I believe helped give the pauses essential for many concertgoers to run and escape.
  6. The whole thing is odd. On one hand, I very much understand that an active investigation can take time. That, and we live in a technologically driven era where everyone can get instant answers, instant gratification, and so people want it solved when it simply isn't that easy. On the other hand, nothing is being talked about of any substance. That fuels speculation, distrust, and second guessing of the ability of the FBI. I realize it's difficult, and I have patience, but let's at least get things a bit straight between the information disseminated officially and the information that is getting leaked.
  7. Did you get information of concentrated bullet damage on the exterior of the tanks? If there was, that's really interesting and your theory is the first time I've heard the tanks/airport even discussed. Could be a glimpse into his wider plans. EDIT: Ok, I just read the Las Vegas Review Jourbal article on this subject.
  8. Looks absolutely gorgeous, congratulations!
  9. Saw these photos on a few different sites. Combining the first 3 makes one large photo sweep from left to right. Top posted photo is left side, middle, then right side is the bottom photo. Middle photo - are those also magazines stacked next to pillar? Speculation is there is a note written on that pink paper in the last photo. No official news on it, could be nothing. The door to the suite:
  10. I made a very basic interpretation of the taxi driver's path in regards to the sounds in the video and question of two shooters locations. Attached a picture below and I will explain my thoughts. First, the taxi driver start position matched with video to Google street view. She started recording at the tail end of the first volley, catching the echos as the first sounds in the video. The next are loud shots at 0:03-0:04 seconds, followed by the echos matching those shots at 0:06-0:07. The next are "farther" sounds of gunfire at 0:46-0:52 into the video. After that come the loud volley again at 1:08 with echos, then she passed under the cover of the small green topped tunnel. She rolled her window up during the drive through this tunnel. *My explanation is this is the shooter changing vantage points in his room. I do not believe it is indication of two shooters at two locations. My thought process is because the taxi was sitting behind the tower containing the exposed windows. I believe those (0:46-0:52 seconds) came from Vantage 2, and the building itself was a sound barrier. This window point was effectively on the other side of the building from the taxi, making the shots sound farther away. Once he switched to Vantage 1 (1:08) the sound was less obstructed coming out from the corner window so the taxi seemed to be almost directly below it. Sorry if I went overboard with this. I think I'm just still feeling shocked. The videos are so chilling.
  11. I did a quick hypotenuse on a triangle of height and distance (in feet) to try and come up with the diagonal shot from the 32nd floor. I looked at a Google map for distance approximation from the corner facing the venue so I used 1000 feet. The Mandelay Bay Hotel is listed as 480 feet tall, but I guessed on the 32nd floor height so I used 300 feet for height. Came out with 1,044 feet (~315 meters) on the diagonal to the center of the concrete open area. Maybe that's 50-100 feet give or take since he hit many areas.
  12. Nice 4 series vert with Msport. I'm surely a fan, haha. I think the M front makes the car look so much better. Hope it is enjoyed for a long time!
  13. It certainly does take a lot of traffic but the barrier to entry is so low it appeals to a lot of people. Some just jump right in and hope something makes them a star. Seems the road this is person is taking. On the contrary there are many channels who produce actual great content and work hard to make a successful following. I don't know enough about it but I think I remember hearing from others that 1 million+ subscribers on YouTube is where the good money starts coming in. Again, I'm no expert so I was even hesitant to say that but the point is, yes, lots of traffic. Have no idea about Instagram.
  14. The LP-570 SL is one of my favorite Gallardo editions. Congrats on the purchase, and welcome to LP! I hope you enjoy driving that beast 570 for a long time.
  15. I feel partly stupid for giving her benefit of doubt and support in the main thread but I like to be a positive person. Like others have said, making money is different now and any 20-something or even teen can drive a Lambo. We've all seen it. Oh well, I see this one is a fake. Upon reflection I conclude it was all about social-media $$. She, and another with the cars (whoever that may be) had the idea to try to make her a social media star. Blitzed all the forums that are focused on the cars they had, or will have, and tried to gain a following to YT & IG. The problem was taking it too far to lie about ownership. I'm glad that many of you were about to bring out more truth. I feel that is all LP wanted here. If I've learned anything from my time on LP, truth is key. Of course that probably wouldn't have worked coming here only to plug YouTube, but we all see lying out of your ass doesn't work either and ended up much worse.
  16. That's an amazing color, and I agree with Cabbe that the rims make the car that much better. I'd rock the purple all day every day!
  17. Wow, I take a hiatus from LP and come back to see this fun thread. I would venture not many remember me since I didn't post a lot - not having a Lambo and all - and that's okay. Glad to see a lot of the same members still providing great insight and discussion, I've missed everyone! I read the entire thing in one go and I'm not here with any judgement. I do hope one day I can share a story of buying my first Lambo too. So Saiy.Y, enjoy the SV when it arrives and enjoy LamboPower! What keeps me coming back even if no one notices is the fact this is the best Lambo board on the internet. I've always loved it here and I'll always find my way back. The trail of avocado chunks peppered with arm hair can guide me.
  18. I saw articles yesterday that Erdogan has widened his purge of state officials to the education system as well. I haven't seen any post on it so I'll take from the BBC article of the stats they give: Is this normal after failed coup attempts? This seems very much over-reaching, somewhat worrying, and further points to a systematic change for the entire country.
  19. That is not the guy whom I was referring to. That is simply a camo shirt with a hood. I'm referring to full US Army standard issue fatigues in active duty. But yes, camo hoodie guy is lucky he wasn't mistaken to the point of getting shot himself.
  20. I saw a few pictures of the purported suspect. In them he's wearing US Army standard fatigues with beret, another US Army formal dress attire. If this is correct then former or active duty military training can definitely be attributed to his tactics and movement with weapons as shown in the videos.
  21. There have been a report from a couple news sources, and NO I'm not saying its accurate, I'm not vouching for anything, that a black power movement has claimed this as theirs and said more will come on a FB page that has since been deleted. You can find these reports if you search. However, the suspect they were talking to before he was killed said he was acting alone... so I don't think there's much to know at this point. Police have identified the dead suspect by name, so if anyone wants to find that out go for it. I don't feel like mentioning the scumbag's name. NBC DFW has it. Police are searching his house. To me this seemed planned for some time but waited for a desired moment to carry out. Perfect for a protest where police will be out in numbers only expecting to see people marching through the streets peacefully.
  22. Haha, I'm not arguing with that.
  23. Cleveland was insane. Estimated 1.3 million people in the city. Just a sea of people everywhere. My parade plan didn't work out, very disappointed. The main reason is that people started lining up on the parade route at 3:30-4:00 AM. Had I known this would happen, I would've entered the city earlier. I live an hour and a half from Cleveland so there was no way I was going to drive in the morning. I stayed overnight in a hotel that was 10 minutes from a Rapid Transit train station and figured our group of 4 would get there at 7:00 AM and hope to get into Cleveland by 9:00 AM. The city said to use the trains, so that was the plan. As it was for thousands of others. Stood in an outdoor line for 4.5 hours for that train and finally got into the city at 12:15 PM. The parade was delayed, but started while we were on the train. Missed it at the spot I originally wanted to be in. Next step was to just head towards the end of the route for the Rally. Went there, but the parade took forever because of piss-poor crowd control, people were blocking the route and making just enough room for the vehicles to get through. People were so close the players were shaking hands with them. We watched this on the jumbo screens from our spot at the rally. We decided to leave at 2:30, couldn't handle anymore waiting we had to get back. The mass exodus had already begun, lines packed inside the Tower City mall/station 3 floors long. We figured the trains would be another 5 hour wait or more. We decided to just start walking back to original start point - a 3 hour walk away. Luckily after 40 minutes walking we caught a bus, then another bus, then a train and got back. At least we were long gone when the shooting happened right outside the exact place we would have had to wait for the train back. 13-year old girl shot twice in the leg, arrested a "young male suspect". The girl will recover, still don't know why it happened. I saw no parade, I saw no players, I saw no rally. I pretty much went to Cleveland and walked/stood around in the biggest crowds ever for the city, and came home. I would've gotten to the train at 5 AM had I known it would be this nuts. Also, if I (and the other 3 people I was with) didn't have work today we would have stayed longer at the rally obviously to see the team. Now I know in case we ever win a championship again.
  24. As a Cavs fan since they wore the white, orange, and blue... I am elated! I understand if you hate the Cavs or just some of the particular players, but just believe the fans and the city of Cleveland were waiting for this for so long. I am a Cleveland sports fan, as is my father, and they've been so close to many championships only to choke in the end and not get it done. I'm just super excited. A lot of other teams and fans know this feeling. To a Cleveland fan who's 30 and never seen his team bring one home... it is amazing. Finally, Cleveland gets one. I'm taking off work and going to parade on Wednesday! Also, as a Cleveland fan I have to think "who knows how long it may take to have this happen again" so I'm going to experience the celebration while I can.
