  1. Those sacks of crap. For some reason I just can't stand any of them. We had something similar just a block from my apartment where some valets tried using up spots in front of a restaurant with their own signs on the sidewalk. As I tried to park once the valet ran up and told me I can't park there. I got out, looked around and asked "who says I can't park here." Needless to say, after him threatening to have my car towed and my threatening to call 911 he backed off.
  2. Again, thanks to everyone. Mike: I attended Chicago-Kent. I really want to practice patent law and Kent has a very strong IP program. I was pretty happy with the choices of classes, and for the most part, the faculty are very helpful. There is the mandatory curve for large classes, but that doesn't mean you still cannot get a good grade. With all that said, I still don't have a job and disparately want to join an IP boutique. But it's hard to blame the school given this economy. Overall I would say it's a good school and I am glad I had the opportunity to attend. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. Yuri
  3. Thanks to everyone for the kind words. Apparently a few of us got the results early morning and after that the website to check your results crashed. So a bunch of friends were sweating it out until just about 30 minutes ago. Mike: if you're thinking of going to school, make sure you start the whole process at least 1.5 years before your actual start. There's quite a bit of preparation that will go into LSAT and applications. SP-superJay: got a phone interview tomorrow morning. Can't screw that up by sounding half drunk . Tomorrow evening should be a different story.
  4. Woohoo!!! Just got confirmation that I passed the Illinois Bar exam. As of November 5th I should officially be confirmed as a patent attorney. What a load off my shoulders and definitely a feeling of accomplishment. Yuri
  5. Your built it sideways! But it looks great.
  6. Mike, I already have someone, but send me a pm with the contact info anyway. Can't help to run this by one more person. PS, Sorry mods but this should have been posted in Off Topic. Can can anyone the thread.
  7. Lol. I didn't want to break the bike. My body saved its fall.
  8. Click at your own risk. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v256/asc...090918-1539.jpg, http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v256/asc...090918-1537.jpg This was what I took right after the accident. The doc took better pics after he cleaned it up thought I don't have them yet. Either way nothing pretty. The hand was worse than the picture shows. The sad part is the first real present that my gf gave me was the watch that was on my hand. And eve thought it survived the crystal got chipped.
  9. Luckily he pulled over. I called the cops and got a report. I didn't request an ambulance, but the cop was actually nice enough to give me a ride to a doctor. I've already contacted an lawyer that I know. I'm definitely holding the cabbie responsible for this. Just sucks that my weekend plans have just evaporated and I can't bike at all due to my wrist. Oh well, could've been worse. My gf was lucky enough to find the only doctor who was open on a Friday night who could suture me up who ends up being a plastic surgeon. He did a pretty good job considering I could see my chin bone.
  10. So I am on my bike earlier today heading home in the bike lane. All of a sudden this cabbie pulls into the bike lane and stops. I squeeze the brakes, front wheel locks up, and I go over the handle bars. My chin takes most of the impact and I scrape my hand pretty bad. Turns out the laceration was down to the chin bone and I ended up having to get tons of stitches. Now my chin is hurting like a b!tch and my wrist is hurting quite a bit too. It's going to be interesting trying to explain the stitches in job interviews. Yuri
  11. Cracked a rib here. Getting better now.
  12. Looks a bit like an 80s concept car sketch. No?
  13. Sorry to hear about your doggie
  14. Can't argue with that choice.
  15. What a lucky guy to have to go to work to drive Lamborghinis all day long. I've always been curious to know what his favorite is?
  16. Seeing the pic of that Diabo reminds me of being a young kid and seeing pictures of a Diablo for the first time. I never thought there would be another car that would look better. To this day I have a hard time finding a better looking car. Congrads.
  17. Congrads on her accomplishments. I wish her nothing but the best and I'm sure she'll enjoy her time in college.
  18. They forgot a couple. I always wanted for a car company to come up with a simple commercial where cars burn rubber. Well a few years ago MB/AMG finally delivered. Also this one was hilarious. Lol at "my office!!! oh"
  19. Lenovo Thinkpad series. This is after running a computer repair business for 7 years. Stay away from HP. Sony is pretty good, though they seem to be a stop below the Lenovos. I would rank Toshiba on par with Dell which is below Sony and above HP.
  20. Wow, this is amazing. Good for her and I hope she goes on to realize her full talent.

Thanks. I hear the CPA is another one of those where more people fail than pass on their first try. Must be a toughy. Nonetheless, if people do it, then it's doable. Good luck preparing.
  22. Sounds like the set of Super Troopers.
