I bought a VW Golf TDI for my x-girlfriend new a while ago (2011) -- it is one of the affected vehicles. I hit them up and I'll keep you guys updated with what they are saying... but I can't be the only one who thinks they deserve some compensation for being lied to/misled.

The 7B they set aside is just for the recall, nothing else. They are in serious trouble. I don't see them going out of business but it won't be too far from that. Before all is said and done I see this costing them at least 30B.... and criminal charges will be brought. There will be a probe to find out who knew what and when... and how far up the ladder it goes. They have no choice but to throw the book at them since it was a deliberate effort to mislead and not to a small degree, the emissions from what they are "claiming" to what was "reality" is HUGE.

Tattoos: Get whatever you like and speaks to you. fcuk what anyone else thinks. I have two misfits tattoos... one on my arm and one on my back. Though I'm getting the back tattoo covered up (because it is terrible quality that I got done when I was 17)... not because of the subject matter.

I'm interested in this as well as I've always thought the 458's were gorgeous.

I never did because I just don't have the garage space But two of my friends got them. They are really neat vehicles. Neither of my friends drive them too often but they sure do get a ton of attention... probably because they are still so new most people have never seen them. If you think you will actually drive it enough to make the $20k worth it I think it's a bargain. If it's just going to sit in your garage and collect dust, probably not.

Jesus. How in the hell have I managed to rack up nearly 1200 posts at this place??! I'll just say that I'm sad that our government has devolved into such a state where we've got the F35 on one hand... and we are trying to mothball the A10 on the other hand. They (the government) ignore the realities of what our soldiers want and know that works and has been there to really support them for a long time. With that being said, I certainly don't consider myself an expert in these fields and am not looking for an argument. Just wanted to state my opinion.

The problem is that the F35 was designed with too many purposes... thus it fails at ALL of them.

I've had the car for quite a while but never took the time to have some decent pictures taken. My buddy organized a photo shoot on Sunday and got a ton of great shots. I'm waiting for him to process them and send them to me but I did take some myself so here they are. I'll update this thread with the other photos once I have them.

It's a lot of power in a very small form factor... but yes, the GPU in there may not be top of the line. Guess it depends on what your requirements are, for me at work its way way overkill.

Depends on the game. I've run quite a few games on my installation, but you don't get any 3D acceleration. So it really depends. You aren't going to run any newer games that require 3D like Far Cry, Titanfall, etc..

The Mac Pro is pretty awesome. I'd love to get one but at this point the iMac does everything I need. Also have a Macbook Pro of course.

Keep in mind, keeping the old games running can be a challenge. Hard to get parts

Get VMWare Fusion, I think it is superior to Parallels.

I almost picked up a Tales from the Crypt but grew tired of playing it at the local place pretty quickly. So far my favorite is Metallica LE... but I do enjoy playing a nice Guns N' Roses pin... guests visiting like music Pins more also it seems. If I could find a really nice GNR in quality condition I'd jump on it. I also have an order on The Big Lebowski machine... I think I'm 57th in line. I'm excited for that one.
