  3. Google image search the VIN, I'm sure that'll answer your question pretty quick. It was hit HARD.
  4. WTF... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lamborghini-Murcie...#ht_5911wt_1133
  5. Back up for sale: http://wwwa.autotrader.ca/a/Lamborghini/Ga...showcpo=ShowCPO
  6. Same car was the topic of discussion in this thread: http://www.lambopower.com/forum/index.php?...52&hl=flood
  7. It was heavily damaged after it crashed into a gaurdrail a few years ago. What it looked like before it was repaired: (don't know why I can't embed video)
  8. There was an orange one (3 pedal Performante) for sale here in Toronto a few months back as well.
  9. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think LP640s have twin pipes which feed into the single exhaust tip that's built into the rear bumper. So you think were just seeing the ends of the headers?
  10. Glad to help! e46fanatics.com has tons of info on these cars including the subframe issues. If it wasn't for them I would've ended up paying for the subframe repair out of pocket.
  11. BMW North America should cover the subframe under warranty regardless of mileage but you'll probably have to fight to get them do it. The dealership (at least in my experience) will pretend that they've never heard of subframe issues with these cars. If it does have an issue and your dealership refuses to do anything about it contact BMW N/A directly.
  12. In my experience 100k miles is when everything starts to fail on BMW's. A few years ago I had a '99 (e46) 328i. In 1 (one) year the following things went wrong: - Entire cooling system (waterpump, expension tank, hoses, etc, etc, etc.) - Vanos seals - Valve cover gaskets - Driver & passenger window regulators - Front control arms & bushings and rear trailing arm bushings - Rear subframe (luckily repaired under warranty after contacting BMW Canada, was quoted +$5000 CAD by the dealership) - Sensors galore - Electrical problems galore That list doesn't include wear & tear items or routine maintenance that I did as well. And when I sold it with 170,000 km (105k miles) the airbag light was on, the check engine light was on, the power door locks worked intermittantly, the heated seats didn't work and the rear shocks were blown. I literally gave up on the car and let it go to the first person with cash who wanted it. Taking into account the repairs I did, the amount of time I wasted at the dealership and the money I lost in depreciation it would have made more sense for me to lease a brand new 3 series and turn it in before the warranty had expired.
  13. Buying a BMW out of waranty is like playing Russian roulette with 5 of the 6 chambers loaded. Good luck to her because she's gonna need it.
  14. It doesn't seem like they're claiming the car has service history or that it hasn't had paintwork or even that it's in perfect condition. They only claim that they make is that it has all books and that it has 10,000 miles. Is that not accurate? If it is than the only thing not accurately described is that it has a 6 speed transmission, which is clearly a typo. I would imagine a potential buyer would discuss service history/paintwork/condition, etc. with the seller prior to purchasing a $170k car through ebay, especially if none of those things were mentioned in the ad. The value of the car depends on what somebody is willing to pay for an uncommon (and beautiful IMO) coloured, lower mileage 6.0.
  15. +1 Imagine how many times they answer the phone to: "I'm calling about the Porsche 911 I saw on your website..." Salesman: "We have TWO HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIVE, you'll have to be more specific..."
  16. HAHA, we have the same service here. GREATEST. IDEA. EVER. I'm friends with a retired couple that works for them; they love doing it. Apparently drunks tip well.
  17. Big time. When I was a teenager I used to drive through Muskoka/Haliburton with a beer in my cupholder on my way to friends cottages and I was never concerned with getting charged. It's in the last couple of years that Ontario's really cracked down on drinking and driving.
  18. The police don't fcuk around with driving offences up here in Canada... Years ago I was charged with street racing even though the cop didn't witness anything; he pulled myself and another vehicle over because he heard tires squealling a minute earlier. His exact words were: "I didn't see you racing but I heard tires squealling and I have two young guys with fast cars pulled over in the area so I'm putting two and two together." Of course he changed his story when I took it to court And here (in Ontario) we have what's called "warn range suspensions" which means if you blow between 0.05-0.07 BAC the police WILL automatically suspend your license and impound the car you were driving for the term of your suspension (regardless of if the car is yours or not). You cannot fight the charge in court, you cannot request a second breathalyser and you are on the hook for all fines, towing charges and impound fees. First offence is a 3 day suspension, 2nd is 7 days, and 3rd is 30 days with the condition that you must install an ignition interlock in your car, at your cost, for 6 months after your license is reinstated. I've blown a warn twice (second time was after drinking 4 beers over the course of 4 hours) and now I won't get behind the wheel of a car if I've had any more than a sip of alcohol.
  19. This is the one in the above mentioned ad: http://www.lp112.com/Lamborghini/Detail.as...9DU01B31LA12593 This is the wrecked one: http://www.lp112.com/Lamborghini/Detail.as...9DU01B11LA12737 2 different cars
  20. Back when I was a teenager I came within a few inches of hitting a telephone pole head-on at 190km/h (~120 mph), missed it by the width of my driver's side mirror. When my car finally came to a stop I thought I was dead; it took me a couple seconds to realize that I'd missed the pole. Definitely the closest I've come to death and probably the scariest experience of my life. There's no question I would've been killed instantly if I had hit it.
  21. Very, very well put. Thank you. Most people on here could find themselves in a similar situation within a short timeframe; all it takes is a market collapse in their industry, a bad decision or simply bad luck. I find it very classless that people are pointing and laughing at somebody who's fallen on hard times. My father owned a business for 42 years, made what most would consider a very comfortable living and worked damn hard to earn it. A few years ago he came very close to bankruptcy due to the downturn in the market and was forced to sell his business for a fraction of what it was worth. My dad, the smartest man I've ever met (and I'm not the first one to say that about him), who not long ago had enough in his bank account to live a modest lifestyle for the rest of his life without ever working another day, just asked me last week at the age of 71 if he could move into my basement because he can't afford the rent where he lives now. There's many people who are in the same situation as my father but I wouldn't wish it on anybody...
  22. $125k for a patched up, salvage title '07 LP640 with 20,000 miles is all the money in the world. $156k is downright retarded.
  23. Total of 3 manual SV's in the States: #12 (Roy's), #53 (small wing, white), #181 (large wing, white).
