You're wrong big fella. CGT over 5 years will cost circa £25k including the engine out service. FGT will cost £6000 - approx 75% less and these figures are from UK owners of both vehicles. That's also on the basis you don't need a new clutch on the CGT which is v exp.

They may have more upside, however this will be negated by maintenance costs...

Trading around £275 privately here and at £300-320 at dealers. Too rich for my blood, just bought an FGT instead. Same upside as an investment, more usable and just as fun without the huge running costs of a CGT.
