    Hello

Good luck with your search Alex!
  2. Awesome sound! Is the only version available for 04/05?
  3. Manual LP-Nice! I still haven't seen a manual like that in the flesh. I'm also in the minority-if given a choice, I'll always choose manual.
  4. That's insane, there's no two ways about it. Thanks for the pictures!
  5. That...is just hideous! I would rather them carry on with the current look and let it grow even longer in the tooth than have this refresh come onto the market. Change for the sake of change=not always a great idea.
  6. Great guide- Just a quick question: With regards to the rear main seals being replaced to prevent oil leaks on "early" cars...what exactly constitutes early? My guess is the 04/05 cars?
  7. I have a perma-boner for black lambos (or black cars in general). Verda Ithaca is stunning though!
  8. Wouldn't have anything but 6-speed on any car, unless there simply was no option for one.

Did you buy a lotto ticket after hearing that ? Nice to see another Vancouverite on here, as well.
  10. That looks great. What type of exhaust is that? The only quad-tip I've ever seen on a 1st gen G is the Kreissieg.
  11. When I first got into cars, I lived in a small city in Ontario that had no exotics. I had never even seen a new 911, let alone a Lambo or F-car. One summer, we took a family vacation and drove to Chicago. While driving downtown, I distinctly remember pulling up behind a bright yellow Gallardo (which I believe had just been introduced in the previous year) and being enamored with it. I remember taking a picture because I wanted to commemorate the first real-live lambo I'd ever seen. Sadly, when I went looking for the picture recently, I could no longer find it. However, that image is burnt into my memory and it started an obsession with the Gallardo (and Lambo in general) that won't be satisfied until I get the keys to my own G.
  12. Sorry for the off-topic post, but do you have any videos/soundclips of your exhaust setup, John?
  13. Sorry I can't answer your question, but saw your exhaust setup- do you have any videos/clips of it? Once again, apologies for the thread derailing.
  14. So people are running the stock sintered (F revision?) clutch on TT-G's? Impressive. I don't own a G, but one thing I've heard is that even older cars with the latest clutches will wear them out faster due to the differences in gearing. Not sure how true that is. I've also heard that the 08 cars use a different throttle body (bosch?) than predecessors, however, I don't exactly know the implications of such a change with regards to ownership experience. Good luck with your hunt, I suspect you'll be happy no matter what you choose.
  15. As per the link provided in the initial post, the price is stated as $2495.
  16. Slightly OT, but could you elaborate on the difference between this sport exhaust and your 70mm supersport exhaust? I was under the impression that the supersport was the "higher end" model, whereas the "sport" was the tamer version. However, from the dynos, it appears as though though the performance increases are actually more on the sport exhaust. I also noticed it's more expensive. Just curious is all. Edit: Also guessing that, with the cat bypass pipes, there is some sort of ECU trick you guys employ to turn off the CEL?
  17. Let us know your impressions once you get it. Congrats!
  18. 6 speed 570 FTW! Slightly off topic, but any idea roughly how many manual 560s are floating around? I'm guessing significantly less than the 1st gen Gallardos?
  19. Sounds like an awesome time! Could you elaborate a bit on what exactly turned everyone off of the manual? Was it simply that it was so much slower and more cumbersome than the E-Gear, or was there something substantively wrongly with the way the manual transmission felt and acted?
  20. Agreed. The road goes both ways. Unfortunately, I also agree that it is more often the younger enthusiast who more aptly displays his or her lack of common sense by doing something that results in a crash or harm. I don't know him, but from the few posts of his that I've read, he seems a relatively level headed and mature enthusiast. Hopefully his seeming maturity has brought along with it a selection of like-minded friends who will not be egging him on to speed. Hell, I only ever succumbed to that sort of thing once during highschool in my hand-me down toyota camry. If anything, I drove more recklessly when I wasn't worried about maintaining any sort of nicer car. Overall, I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt until they show me that I should think otherwise. I was always appreciative when it was done for me, and I *knock on wood* so far have never been in a crash or even pulled over. For the record, I'm a younger (although a number of years older than the person in question) enthusiast that drives a sporty car (no lambo, ferrari, p-car or anything of that level, however).
  21. Love it...I know many will disagree, but I think I prefer the standard bonnet to the glass version.
  22. That looks great. Exactly how I'd want it lowered. How much more difficult have you found it to get around without scraping (if at all)?
