  1. Canadian prices are lower. I always compare the U.S market to ours. Especially if the car is rarer in Canada, and I'm likely to buy in the U.S. Even paying our sales taxes, its still lower here.
  2. If you want a Testarossa, look in Canada. Considering what people/dealers are asking on EBay and elsewhere, Canada has good deals: http://www.autotrader.ca/cars/ferrari/test...ue&wcp=True bonus if its a Canadian spec, no automatic mouse seatbelts, no annoying padded steering column.
  3. So far in Canada, the prices have been a little lower here. A 97 was offered last week for $145k and currently a 96 is at a dealer known for high prices, they are reasonable $154k CDN or roughly $128k U.S. Not bad considering some of the prices I've seen in the U.S. I don't see these prices staying high long. http://www.autotrader.ca/a/Porsche/911/Woo...mp;orup=2_15_23
  4. Believe is a unknown singer and her name is Lisa May. Google chrome lets you search images on google and that's what I came up with.
  5. Sorry for your loss.............. Basically the same story, minus the coughing blood and eyes. I've had 3 dogs with cancer and as much as I don't want to admit it. Believe it is at this point though.
  6. Think they are trying to be optimistic.
  7. A couple 308's have popped up here in Canada, for $40k CDN, but they sell fast. I have thought about the 328, similar looks, more power and a little faster. The prices on them have been $50k to $100k for awhile now. So $28k is a really good deal, even if it needs some work.
  8. The liberals hate him the most. Both Seattle and Portland are very militant liberal, dangerous places for him. Not as well known, Southern Oregon and Eastern Washington are very conservative. There in those small towns he has a chance. Eastern Washington is also very gun friendly, WA is an open carry state, in small town Eastern WA its not uncommon to see armed individuals. He'd fit in around Spokane.
  9. If I made a list of best looking cars, say top 10, Id put the Diablo on it.
  10. He has no place to go. He'll always have some crackpot wanting to kill him.
  11. This might be an option: https://relayrides.com/search?location=Los+...C+United+States mostly Boxers though. Plus I don't know what the liability would be renting from a private person.
  12. They just did a segment on Fox News. The shooter has had other run ins with Zimmerman. The news didn't say what kind of incidents. My guess the shooter was trying to kill Zimmerman and make it look like a road rage incident.
  13. Mixed diagnosis from the X-rays. Spots in the lungs. Its either cancer or fungal infection. I have a lot of squirrels in my yard and they carry infections like this. So now putting him under anesthetic and getting a biopsy from the lungs. Vets, there is three of them there, all leaning towards fungal infection. Still saying cancer should have showed up in the blood work. Hate hoping for one illness over another. Guess that's what I have to do.
  14. Its a very good looking car. I remember the first time seeing one in the wild. I prefer the looks of the earlier cars, don't like the "Nissan" headlights. For some reason I also like the earlier dash's as well.
  15. Despite ragging on the lack of hp in a 308 and I consider them very slow. I still want one. I search them out, waiting for a good deal. In that search I found this 328. http://honolulu.craigslist.org/oah/cto/5013444670.html No connection to the seller. But considering what people want for these on EBay and elsewhere, even with shipping, this a good deal. Thought Id pass it on.
  16. Thanks...... Dropped him off. Don't know how long this will take. Trying to take my mind off it for a bit. Guess cancer is slim, as it would have shown up in his blood tests.
  17. Ontario is really messed up on confiscating and destroying cars suspected of future use street racing. I know years ago, when I lived there, they had a real problem with illegal street racing. Groups would meet up at a Tim Horton's, near country back roads. They'd arrange races in the parking lot and go race on a country back road. It was a wild scene. People would bring full out drag cars on trailers. This was back in 97/8 time frame. A friend of mine raced weekly like this, I watched a few times. His car was a 70's VW Bus with a 930 Porsche engine, running twin turbos, it was wickedly fast.
  18. I have a friend who is a criminal defense attorney. He's says give name, drivers license, registration and proof of insurance only, when stopped by police. Say anything else and the cops can and will twist to their advantage. Cops are basically trained to lie! He gave the example of the many ways they can mess with you. Cops are supposed to need probable cause to pull someone over. Now they just say they believed the driver wasn't wearing a seat belt, click it or ticket. Now they can pull anyone over for seat belt checks. If the cop knows the motor vehicle code, he can probably find a dozen violations and can even figure out away to search the car.
  19. Off to the vet for 10am to 10:30am appointment. Dropping him off because he needs sedation. To get blood, needed 3 people to hold him down. Even sick, he's a strong little bugger! They will be doing X-rays and getting a bone marrow sample. Hate to say hopefully, but I'm hoping for an autoimmune disease. Its treatable long term, cancer is more serious and less treatable.
  20. Over a 10 to 15 year period, I wouldn't bet against the Ferrari. A GTO here in Canada is asking almost $900k CDN.
  21. The real problem with the U.S. is too many laws. You get county ordinances, state and federal law. If the cops want to mess with you they have thousands of ways to do it. Give the police an inch and they take a mile.
  22. I found them online. The dealer wanted $675 just for the coils. Took an hour to do and cost $275. Biggest pain is all the covers covering the engine need to be removed.
  23. Having a cousin in law enforcement and hearing their stories, I can say they are like the U.S police. Only foreign police I have experienced are the Cuban secret police. Think America is fucked try Cuba.
  24. My Cayenne check engine light came on. No big deal, hook up the lap top and get the code. Coil is toast on one of the cylinder's. Order all new coils. Run to the states and pick them up. Just finished replacing them. Very easy, can't believe the dealer would charge several hundred for this. Took an hour, few plastic covers that are a pain to get back on. But other then that easy job. Total cost $34 per coil X 8. Dealer wants $84 for each coil pack. Total satisfaction doing the job myself.
