  1. My 2002 Murci has been converted to RWD and therefore requires the traction control be switched off all the time. Does this mean that I no longer have ABS?
  2. Thanks guys & gals. The wheels have gotten a pretty good response with most people. I just have to fight the urge to tinker with it. What of the calipers? They are currently a faded blue. The paint weathered so poorly in such a short time that I suspect they were rattle canned. lol Had I done the wheels in black then the calipers would have been either Verde or Gaillo as I love the splash of color with the black look. If the wheels are to remain silver then the calipers should go back to body color (black), correct? Does the third color (yellow/ green) become 'busy' looking?
  3. Well, the blue didn't last long. lol I just don't like the no gloss look of the wrap and I thought of the term "a 10 footer" meaning the car looks good from about 10 feet away. I do prefer the black. Still not certain on the wheels.
  4. Just wanted to update this thread quick. I did 70 miles this weekend and no CEL's. I'm convinced it was nothing more than a loose clip on the sensor in the plenum. Thanks again!
  5. Jeff is an excellent tech. I wish we had him here in Minnesota.
  6. There were only 4 valves that were considered "out" and even those were just on the threshold of factory tolerances. So in regards to 02 Murci's I'd say 30k mile interval is about right. Funny thing thinking back to all the people that thought they heard the valves clattering in your videos. They didn't.
  7. Ok, I pulled the center cover and found the brown sensors. I disconnected and reconnected each one getting them as snug as possible. I cleared codes and started car and let idle to operating temp. I took a quick drive (about 4 miles) and no CEL lights. Hopefully something as simple as that. I'll get a chance to get more miles this weekend. Thanks for the help!
  8. I just took delivery of my first Murcielago and the very first drive (12 miles) it thru a check engine light. I hooked up a scanner and pulled the codes. P0111 (Intake Air Temperature Circuit Range/Performance Problem/) P0112 (Intake Air Temperature Circuit Low Input) Now, I just had the cars valve adjustment done the day prior to my taking delivery. Wondering if anything may have been unhooked and not hooked back up in the process? Is there more than one AIT sensor? One for each throttle body perhaps? Is there anything I can do to check these and where are they located? I don't have a service shop anywhere near me. Lastly, will it hurt to drive the car until I get this figured out? I read lots of posts where guys just get CEL's here and there and just drive anyways as if its all part of the Murci experience. Thanks for any input, Steve
  9. Thank you! Yes it does give me some idea of what to expect. I think I prefer the all black but not sure. I live in northern Minnesota so our driving season is coming to a close soon. I'll likely leave the car blue for next summer and then see how I feel about it then. The blue is really nice in person.
  10. Well, not quite yet, but that's the plan. I agree on the all black with the blue but the blue is a wrap and if it were removed you'd have an all black wheel against an all black car which I don't really care for. Kind of why I was thinking black centers as you'd still have the chrome lip to break up the black once you pull the wrap. Yes, there's been some changes but it looks pretty good. I'm warming up to the blue although I prefer the original black. I spoke with the shop that did the wrap and they can do any color I want for about $4k. Hmmm... I've always fancied an orange Murci.
  11. Hello folks, I'm hoping someone could help me with this picture. I'd like to see the wheels in gloss black and if possible just the center spokes in gloss black with leaving the chrome outer lip. Thanks in advance!
  12. How did Dustin run a 219 to Heffner's STS 215 and yet they have the awards for fastest vehicle?
  13. This is what I've read in the past as well, but it would have been a little more reassuring to see that someone has done 40k or 50k miles without major issues. I'm a little concerned if the car will be unsaleable at 40k miles as well. Based on my Gallardo ownership I would hit 40k within 2 years of purchasing the car. I definitely would like to own an experience a Murcielago, but not necessarily want to be married to it for life. Thanks for all replies!
  14. While the story of this car is truly impressive, it only made 43k miles in the beginning before have a new crankshaft installed along with lower end rebuild. I realize that it's saw a much harder life than your average car though.
  15. Just wondering what the longevity of these engines are. I'm looking at a car that has 35k miles and wondering how much is left. There are several guys with Gallardos that are well over 50k miles and some over 100k miles. Anybody with 50k + Murci's? Any words of advice for someone contemplating a 35k car? Thanks!
  16. This is following the Cars & Coffee at the Motorplex, I assume? I wish this wasn't so far away from me. The car looks great! I'll see your flat wheels and raise you some concave...
  17. Would these headers interchange with a 6.2 Murcie, or are there differences in the heads?
  18. Would love to see some VBox data from your Murci. It's a legitimate reason. I used to be in the auto transport business and you don't just haul one car on a truck. Usually you're coordinating 6 different owners vehicle on the schedule. We used to book 10 - 14 days out. So if a customer calls 2 days before the pick up and says he wants to change dates, he usually lost his spot on the truck.
  19. Why did you decide to remove the wrap from the lower intakes? I kind of liked that.
  20. What's a ballpark figure on cost to convert a pre LP Murci to rwd?
  21. Off topic but I see a clowns face in the cloud. I'm hoping that's not just me. Weird.
  22. Now we even have Kevin saying UGR. Vin matches the old VegasSE adds. I'd say same car.
