  1. its funny how people are arguing over these times that are so close. Its all about the experience the car gives and none of the cars are identical to each other. ive said it before, its a good time to be in a position to have these cars. Competition breeds performance. Besides, everyone does realize this rivalry is never ending and that each new release of a car only means a momentary win....
  2. Was there to test out this afternoon... Didn't see you Allan as maybe u were in the morning? Anyways. The car is good , easy and fun to drive with a big safety built in with esc on... I would say it built on the gallardo and it's done so beautifully. Compared to a mac or 458, the console is middle with the mp having best view of the front giving the perception you are close on the ground vs the 458 being the worst. Visually the new look works well. In terms of power, it's fast but seat of the pants feel, the mac still feels the fastest to me... But this would be another great quasi daily driver... I agree these cars are so advanced it seems they took out the challenge of driving an exotic...it's fun but I feel I'm playing ps3 game out there...no skill needed... I flogged it real hard on the track and nothing happened like a video game....I guess at the end of the day for the true exotic car experience still like what my diablo and ct delivers...but for mindless performance with huge safety built in? It's a good car to have especially with 4wd.
  3. Different strokes for different folks... its a good time to be in the market for junior exotics....
  4. that why I don't do runs with people I don't know anymore... its getting a bit hairy out there in the caravan world... lol.
  5. 748 hp? should have shown the ct spanking the reventon...
  6. Allan didn't u had the electromotive done on the other ct u had before? How was that compared to ur ct now?
  7. good to design the carbon chassis to have smaller wind shield... Saves more weight... rear has the veneno type shark fin.
  8. There are some other variables to contend with. I believe the side door for added impact safety has additional reinforcements along with rear bumper reinforcements that add more weight. In addition, the fuel injection manifolds also weight a bit more than the carb set up. So, those are the things I would see as a deficit. However, if the result ends up that hp is close and performance is close, the reliability and tractability of a fuelie would be much more desirable for driving.
  9. hmm.. nothing too original to warrant the price tag.... ill take the veneno. At least the Veneno is way more unique design wise. Jags done that style to death already....
  10. That 25th looks nice... did anyone notice the rear bumper delete? looks so much cleaner!
  11. Common sense is an important trait to have...
  12. looks like either the bumper is warped or there was some lower spoiler body damage causing that... Its not supposed to be that way....
  13. i dont know if they will all hit the millions but there will definitely be some upside on all variants.
  14. yes. Very color sensitive. I think with all the subtle creases and lines, you would need colors that will highlight those lines better. More overpowering colors will just mask those lines out..
  15. saw the car in person and really like the styling of the car. I think Lambo has a winner if meeting the requirements of a worthy successor. As to whether or not it will be less exclusive than some other brands out there remains to be seen. This considering that Lamborghini will be making ALOT of these cars....and from what history has shown, alot of variants... That will effect people's decisions somewhat on taking th plunge...
  16. Its always sad to see someone who has been on this board pass away. I cant imagine the pain his family must be feeling and my condolences out to them. Everytime I hear news like this it just reminds that we are all temporarily on this earth. Live life without regret and never make enemies.
  17. I think the comparison is valid considering there will undoubtedly be situations where a zo-6 will be racing a huracan... Of course, exclusivity and experience are valid points... but I dont think anyone would want to lose to a stock zo-6 when they are paying double to triple the money for a huracan... that would be pretty embarassing... And that really is a sad reality because nowadays with boost and FI, horsepower is cheap.. So cheap that sedans, suvs are pushing supercar hp levels and minimizing the gap between sportscar and everyday vehicle. So sportscar makers like Lambo porsche and Ferrari have to diversify their portfolios to start including sedans and suvs... Sure, it turned Porsche around, but no longer is Porsche a sportscar builder anymore... Seems like essence somehow diluted for the sake of survival... Nevertheless, the future will be where sports car manufacturers will have to devise more clever ways to set itself apart other than horsepower to woo would be buyers who now can choose a sedan or coupe over a exotic car. And if not, start making sedans and suv like the main staple manufacturers...
  18. hell no. I sent in my deposit as well... dont get me in no bidding war...
  19. good thing I kept my cars... heard many stories of regret all these years and just made it a point to keep them. Up til now, I am extremely glad that I didnt let them go... New cars nowadays are really very UN exciting even though they are fast as hell. either that or im just getting old? lol...
  20. I dont think it is simply a rebodied G, but in terms of chassis, tech, and body styling, clearly an evolutionary of the original. Especially when you consider weight is virtually unchanged to the old g chassis, you would think that if its a whole new chassis that weight reduction would be possible or even more extreme. While Im sure its going to delivery a great experience, from a tech standpoint, I would compare it to a Ferrari 360-430 chassis development evolution. But as with cars of such a nature, simply dwelling on tech points would be moot. For those who have ordered, enjoy it in good health:)
  21. This car is similar to how the ferrari 360 evolved to the 430. Same overall chassis, good amount of body tweak, same engine architecture. Game changer? Probably not... Keep lambo in tho segment? Yup... That being said, I'm already looking forward to a superleggera version as that would be the car to watch for...
  22. Looking forward to the infinite editions forthcoming in the future!
  23. from the looks of it, the architecture is very little changed from the old gallardo. I would dare venture to say layout is essentially same, body panels changed, windshield side glass same, engine same v-10 but tweaked with 30 hp + and coupled with new faster tranny... Mainly reduction in weight through body panel and chassis weight reductions. Revised interior. chassis essentially same as well. From a manufacturers perspective, this latest variant is probably not as drastic as the aventador in terms of starting with a fresh ground up design... Still, the g has always been able to hold its own for all these years... changin the tranny and lightening it up a bit certainly can keep it fairly competitive. Especially in the junior super car segment, I think 650-700hp is where manufacturers will be capping their outputs so that there is a nice gap between their halo models. Nevertheless, the gallardo chassis with 4wd, more power , faster tranny, lighter weight I think can stay fairly competitive for the next 4-5 years at least... This mini bull replacement is like Ferrari did the 360 and then to the 430... definite differences but chassis and engine layout overall the same with minor tweaks to save on development costs.
