  1. Well 500k is not 500k, after taxes.
  2. The gold wheels have really grown on me. Did anyone ever find the paint code for them?
  3. You could make one. The guy parting the Jalpa out on ebay would be another possibility. He was shipping a rusted out Jalpa from England (left hand drive- originally from France) , that should be here now.
  4. I have the msd system. The only problem that I have had with it was a coil went bad. The car was running fine, but when I was checking the oil I noticed a spot of oil on the inner fender, below the coil. Mine was installed vertically, and started to leak. Never mount a oil filled coil vertically. A new coil for about $45, mounted in the correct position - horizontal, fixed it.
  5. Thanks. A Countach wrap looks more complicated than many other cars. Wing, flares, etc.
  6. I like the wrap as well. Just curious, what approx does it cost to wrap a Countach?
  7. I think the Porsche was pacing the Countach.
  8. Congratulations. I would see if you can keep the shipping car cover. That could be a neat item to have, down the road.
  9. Congratulations. The Gulf Racing colors are so cool!!
  10. Well 5000s or not, wing or not, what did anyone expect? The GTR is a fassssst modern car. A 5000s is a period fast vintage car.
  11. If that is true, I would go much lower on the price. On a rental or salvage, think wholesale or less.
  12. The sound difference is more on the induction side at WOT, than at the tail pipe.
  13. Balls of steel driving that back! Your car looks great.
  14. I let mine expire some time ago. That price guide has been the same for a good 5 plus years.
  15. I stood next to him. He was an older man that wanted to look big, and jumped in top early. The expression on his face, when the bidding did not move forward was full of pain.
  16. A bit off topic, but I was at a auction for a house. The house was probably worth about 300k. The auctioneer started out at 500k, and then a second later said 425k for an opening bid. The older guy next to me blurted out "425". No one else bid. It quickly became apparent that he was not going to buy. The lady next to him went up to another auctioneer and started talking really quiet. Then that auctioneer said something to the one doing the auction. Next 10 plus minutes, he kept saying 425, I have 425. Who will bid 450. Eventually, they had to switch auctioneers, it went on that long. The crowd dwindled down to just me and a few others. The auction ended, not by saying sold, but by saying thank you everyone. Why the auction company did not throw out the bad bid, and restart when there was a full crowd, I don't know, unless they thought there was a possibility of collecting the commission on the 425k. And no, he did not buy it. When I left (there was a few other auctions), he was at the door & the lady with him was telling him not to sign anything.

  18. RM owned the Boxer & Countach. Cha ching!! The Countach was non running. A record price for a project Countach!
  19. What is the commission rate at RM? For the seller, and the buyer?
