  1. Cool, so NFA is legit in MA but you can't buy a 'regular' AR?? What the heck...
  2. Thanks - didn't make sense to keep it here in a 'free state', especially with the current hype.
  3. Thanks! The lower went to Mass. One of the places that (to my knowledge) enacted a state-level version of the federal Clinton AWB, unless.... drum roll please.... you have a rifle manufactured prior to 1994. That's where I help out with my preban lower.
  4. Just sold that 'pre-ban' lower that I asked about earlier in the thread, for $700. Crazy what legislation will do to the value of gun stuff. Does anyone have a line on LPK's? I have a billet lower I'd like to start building.
  5. This is why you don't carry unchambered!! Love the business suit beatdown at the end.
  6. My shooting buddy went to the big crossroads gun show this weekend and reports those KCI Beta mag copies were listed at $750 and .223 at $1 - $1.50 per round! Pretty comical.
  7. Thanks - the details were eluding me. Mine is a four digit DPMS (well before the '94 ban) , so hopefully it'll seem extra special to a New Yorker or similar.
  8. Does anyone know what the deal is with "pre-bans"? It's certain states where they command a premium, right? I believe I have a preban AR, and I want to unload it.... but I live in AZ and this preban nonsense is beyond me.
  9. And with the cost of a second Trust being peanuts (or free, if you have the software), that's probably an excellent idea. Heck, maybe even put your non-NFA EBR's and full cap mags in separate trusts too, since they're the current legislative target. I have all my NFA in a trust but never really considered putting the pedestrian stuff in there. For NFA, the reason to do a trust is to simplify the application process - I wasn't too worried about survivorship, the gun grabbers, etc. I'll be interested to hear rationales for "regular" firearms stuff being put in a trust.
  10. Thanks, I have a P32 and P11 so I'll check it out - although I can't recall a glove box down there. I guess the G spot has indeed been hidden from me!! :/
  11. No doubt, that's a sweet setup. I never came up with a good spot in the G for a "hidden" pistol. Anyone?
  12. Crazy run on AR stuff right now folks. I just came home from my friends Class 3 shop and he sold 30 billet lower receivers today, with another 10 on gunbroker. He raised the price from $150 to $230 to $260 on GB and he's still selling them! An average/regular day is 1-3, total. This AM he checked his distributor for LPKs and they had 1100. At 2pm they had zero. He raised the price of his LPKs by $20 while I was chatting with him. Nuts.
  13. Totally. Without the shotgun he'd probably have made it a bit farther into the country but ended up in deeper trouble. It seems Mexican tourism is just not worth it.
  14. The fact that the guy refused your personal delivery is pretty shady... I'd bail too. Does ebay even allow you to NOT accept paypal? I seem to recall them really ramming the paypal thing down your throat, especially now that they've got skin in the game.
  15. Me too. I've read about this on numerous gun forums and haven't seen a consensus. Some say that mag spring fatigue is due to long term compression, some say it's due to cyclic fatigue. I'd be interested to hear some scientific data one way or the other.
  16. I grew up in KA and lived in the 213 from '00 to '04... For nearly all intents and purposes, you can't get a CCW in a metro CA area. Your "right" to self defense is trumped by their fear of it. Unless you are famous, in which case you are more valuable than the average citizen and an exception is made.
  17. lol Are you an actor, politician, or very, very, very wealthy?
  18. Do want! Does anyone know what ended up happening with that Shrike belt fed upper? Did they ever fulfill all those languishing preorders? Are they outta business? That would be a fun purchase if available...
  19. Yeah, but I heard it was set in LA....
  20. Great glass! back when I was into 50's, NightForce seemed to dominate the market. Are they still competitive? I'm outta that loop. AZS is arizonashooting.com. Pretty good site for local stuff, but of course the usual gun board silliness.
  21. Oh jeez, really?? What's next? You should plan to be here for the Supercar Run on the 27th!
  22. Sweet! What's going on top?? Are you on AZS? There was a guy out of Flag selling a new M82A1 a couple years ago... I debated that long and hard, but ultimately passed... I miss my old 50.
  23. Looks great, glad you finally got it together and back home. Front plates are a real drag...
  24. You need some NFC stickers on your car!
  25. Looks nice man, love the steering wheel. I forgot you had the yellow piping and contrast stitching... our interiors are, err WERE, identical. Good job on the install too, I love DIY projects. Must be a lot of wizzies gettin shucked out there in PA!
