  1. For some reason Ebay links don't work on here anymore, but it's item # 120165100022
  2. You sure he knows its an '04? Or you didn't misunderstand him? That offer from a dealer just doesn't make sense. Got any pics of this thing?
  3. That's beyond insane... It's a nice car, but who the hell would even think of paying more for one of those than for a new Gallardo! I can see a small premium for those who just HAVE to be the first on the block, but in a few months these things will be selling at a discount.
  4. $155,000 on their website... http://www.sportscarcompany.com/detail-199...vt-2197450.html Supposedly has miles but could be a great deal for someone who wants a driver.
  5. The GREY MARKET ones were $25-30k... The officially imported ones that will be available in January will NOT be anywhere near that much. They will be priced at $12k for the base model, $14k for the "better" model, and $17k for the cabrio.
  6. Come on, with that kind of thinking you better ban the Mini too, and of course you'll have to get rid of all the motorcycles! Once again, they're a LOT safer/stronger than they look... In fact they ARE indeed "safe enough for our market", they have passed all of the applicable crash tests.
  7. Well, there have been a few false starts in years past, but now that it's officially um, official, and Penske is involved as the distributor I think everything is pretty well set. And according to the local dealer here (who currently has a new showroom for them under construction) they WILL be available for sale in January (they said they'll have some demos in late October/November)... I guess we'll see, but that's been the story all year.
  8. Not exactly... Mitsubishi makes the ENGINES in the all new smart car, but the cars are NOT built by Mitsubishi! The US version is the all NEW redesigned smart car that looks the same as the all NEW redesigned European version. Yes, the new ones (in both Europe AND in the US) are SLIGHTLY larger, but not enough that anyone would notice. They go on sale in January at a base price of just under $12,000. As for their safety, they're a hell of a lot stronger than they look!
  9. Actually the smart cars available NOW are highly overpriced grey market cars. The newly updated, officially imported, fully US legal versions with a real dealer network and warranty will be available after the first of the year. The link King-640 posted above is the link to the new, officially imported version. If you want one, wait a few months and get one of those. Why pay $25k+ now for a 2 year old grey market car that will take a huge hit in value next year when you can buy a new officially imported one for $10k less. If you absolutely must have the old version now, here are a couple... http://www.diamondlot.com/cgi/info.exe?bc=...dealer=GREENCAR http://www.diamondlot.com/cgi/info.exe?bc=...dealer=GREENCAR
  10. Ugh, I loved the 722 in Europe, this thing is just hideous - looks like primer is right!
  11. You do realize that BMW & Williams are no longer together... BMW bought the Sauber team a couple of years ago and Williams are now Toyota powered.
  12. That sounds like that could be a fun project. Good luck finding a suitable one, I look forward to seeing what you do with it. I often wish I'd have kept the one I had and just put it away, but looking back I had a LOT of cars I wish I had now. I have this problem where I always see something else I want. I didn't have any rust problems, mine was bought new and only a couple years old when I moved on. I really always wanted one of the Sport Quattros... http://www.carclassic.com/stock.asp?Ref=EB43&Lang=en
  13. It's been discussed before, here... http://www.lambopower.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=22147 And here... http://www.lambopower.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=5669
  14. The 2nd one is just an Audi 4000 4 door with 4 wheel drive... I assume he's looking for an Audi Coupe Quattro like the first one. I had one back in the day, one hell of a car!
  15. Or he has a Cirrus... http://www.cirrusdesign.com/ They come with a built in parachute system that lowers the entire plane down if there's a problem... http://www.cirrusdesign.com/about/safety/caps.aspx
  16. Well they just sold their F1 team today, so that may keep them around another day or two (literally )... But not for long, their days are definitely numbered. As for the cars, I drove one - There are far far better things to spend nearly $300k on! They're way too overpriced, underpowered and underdeveloped.

  18. That thing is hideous, it looks like a Lexus mated with a Buick! Jaguar is damn near dead anyway, this fugly thing should put the final nail in the coffin.
  19. It's not a regular production model, but it WILL be sold in the US, although less than 100 of them will come here, and all have been spoken for years ago. If you really want one though I'm sure several will be available from flippers.
  20. The ex-sponsor just has it listed on his site for the owner, who's the guy who has it on duPont. Last I heard it was still going to auction, and it is still listed on the auction site... http://www.russoandsteele.com/collector_ca...lp400/7160.html It is absolutely gorgeous in yellow, RHD could be a hard sell in the US though. The last asking price I heard was around $400k, but that was a while ago.
  21. Sheesh, I must have had a good one. I bought one new in 1997, sold it in 1999 with 35,000 miles on it and never had a single problem.
  22. The answers to most of your questions are on the website... http://www.segway.com/ They're ELECTRIC. The difference in models and options are on the website. I can't imagine there's a mall in America that would let you ride one inside though, and why would you? A little exercise is good for you! Where are you finding NEW ones for $3000? MSRP on the cheapest model is $5000, what dealer is discounting them that much?
