2011 Audi R8 ClubSport The Audi R8 is already one potent machine right out of the box, but our spy photographers have just sent us proof that an even more capable R8 model is on the way. Believed to be the ClubSport variation, the latest high-performance model will sit atop the R8 range. Details surrounding the R8 CS remain foggy, but the pictured hear looks to mean serious business. The R8’s front fascia has been revised on this test mule, now sporting a more aggressive splitter and air winglets. Out back there is a newly styled bumper, highlighted by round exhaust outlets rather than the oval units used on the V10 model. A fixed rear wing shows the R8 CS’ track intentions. According to inside sources, the R8 Clubsport will be between 100 and 150lbs lighter than the standard R8 V10, feature rear-wheel drive only and will see a slight bump in power. Combined, these changes should help the R8 to perform at levels expected from an exotic sports car. The new Mercedes SLS or whatever it is has gull wing doors. They have hinges that pop off in case of rollover and then the doors just fall open. You would think that L-Audi-Ghini could do the same. Edit: (Choo guys is faster than me..)

Are you kidding? The Viper is possibly the worst sounding performance car. Ever. The sound of that car was the biggest turn off for me when driving it. I liked pretty much everything else except for the big wing and blind spots. Ps.. To the OP, Nice Cars! Enjoy them in good health.

Like a lot of things on these cars it is just for looks.

A guy I work with said he saw this car on a flat bed on I-15. I didn't know what had happened to it. I hope he finds a good fix and gets it back on the road soon.

I have that book. It is a fun read. I especially liked the part about getting enough titanium from the Soviets to build the SR-71, so we could spy on... The Soviets. It also shows how we went from a light and agile country to one mired in bureaucracy when it comes to matters of security.
