  1. thank god man, that is a scare. god bless you, prayers are that it's gone gone gone. sounds like you have a great network of docs and referrals up there, but if you need a contact with the houston medical center let me know.
  2. haha, nice. query - is that harness removeable? and do you still have a regular seatbelt in case you dont feel like using those?
  3. glad to hear it, enjoy your good health rd. and there's another bright side to this, with the polyp gone you should have all sorts of room for smuggling...
  4. congrats! but before you drive it too much or roll down the windows, please get some ziplock bags and package up some of that new lambo smell. Make a 12 month supply. ship to me.
  5. Thanks for sharing the pics, it really surpassed my expectations! I've been flipping through other build pics wondering how it would turn out and I think it looks great. To everyone else in Houston: my official position is that the car is still stock, the turbos do not turn on and are purely decorative. please do not look directly into the dyno sheets. that is all. For anyone else considering UGR for a build, I'll vouch that their communication with the customer is top notch. There wasn't a single time during the build when I thought to myself "I wonder what's going on, I haven't heard from those guys." I always knew where things were, when pieces were finished, and got plenty of update pictures, calls, emails, text messages. Sending my car out of state was probably my biggest concern when I was considering vendors and UGR did not let me down. Thanks HoustonT, Mullet, Scotty, RedGTS, Bill H. and others who took time to talk to me about their builds and answer questions. And thanks again to UGR for the build, I'm looking forward to getting it back! Joe
  6. i need the roadster. then i need to TT it. who wants to hand me their roadster spot?
  7. "I don't always motorboat blondes, but when I do, it's the second one from the right." (you cannot read that without hearing the dos equis guy's voice)
  8. It seems you may be able to pull VIP images the same way: go to google images, search "lambo power vip" in quotes. several of the image results take you to a "sorry this is in the vip area" type screen, but the images still display in google, e.g. this link dead ends: http://www.lambopower.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=26938 but the image links to that post do not (likely because images store in the uploads sub-folder which isnt crawl restricted or something IT-sounding like that): moral of the story: I need to grow a beard...
  9. Manual LP570 Stage 1 Race Version with Motec ECU with boost by gear, billet race diff, billet final drive gears aprox, carbon/carbon? Back to have the plutonium core replenished.
  10. oh shit. go to Google Images and just type lambopower. pantie pics and so forth from that thread.
  11. i have a labradoodle that is pretty damn cool. he's an F1B so his daddy was a standard poodle and his mother was half lab/half poodle. great temperment. good watch dog. likes to play. can handle being cooped up in bad weather for a few days. doesnt shed. no allergens ( bred as service dogs for people w pet allergies ).
  12. fwiw, she looks almost exactly like a gun-shy bird dog i had 30 years ago named sadie. sadie was abandoned by her owner when she got scared of the gun and we took her in. your girl is a bit lighter though. love the story. i hope everything turns out right.
  13. They can rebuild him. They can make him stronger. Things are coming along nicely. Now I need to get off my duff and clean all the christmas decorations out of that spot in my garage so my baby can return.
  14. Those are very cool looking shots, thanks for posting them up. But why did you throw a bunch of condoms and gum on the ground for the crouching pic?
  15. Two good sources for running your VINs yourself are: Vin Check to see if it's been reported lost or stolen: https://www.nicb.org/theft_and_fraud_awareness/vincheck NMVTIS for vehicle history: http://www.vehiclehistory.gov/ Or someone with Lexis or Westlaw access can search MVRs.
  16. Engine is going back in today I think, everything is fabricated. Wheels have been done--I painted them gloss black after my Scorpius wheels suffered a bit of road rash at the hands of an oblivious grandma running a red light, cutting across my lane and me heroically swerving ever so slightly into a curb to save the car. Kevin sent me these pics of the engine yesterday. Once it's all dressed and pretty I'll post some more.
  17. hmmm... removeable bolt-in roll bar. looks hideous. http://www.lamborghinituningmag.com/roll-b...for-lamborghini though this one is interesting in that it can become a roll cage...
  18. Under 199 and you're good to go with a convertible Lamborghini: 4.5 ROLL BAR/CAGE: A competition approved Roll Bar for an open vehicle (convertible) is mandatory unless your vehicle is equipped with a factory rollover protection system (please contact the Texas Mile Tech Staff regarding approval for convertibles). ) Over 199 you need the cage or a waiver. 5.5 ROLL BAR/CAGE: All cars that are attempting speeds at or over 199 mph are required to have a four-point roll bar at minimum. A six-point or eight-point cage is highly recommended. The material and minimums are as follows: . . . . Any individual wishing to enter a vehicle which deviates from the rules listed above must contact the Chief of Tech 30 days prior to the event for approval. I've seen pics of Reiter cages for Lambos: But what a pain in the ass that would be! I hate the look of roll bars over a convertible. Though the safety issue is rather obvious.
  19. Meh. Factory roll over pillar in the Performante and Spyder should be enough . . . . Don't need no stinking cage, just look at these pop up puppies.
  20. You could totally hide bodies in there.
  21. Looks tight. What part of the world is that one headed to? Kisco, it's not too late to build that engine. You're at 1.5 now... just .5 more is a stage 2!
