Rawr Report post Posted June 14, 2008 2008 Bentley Brooklands PRICE: base $340,990 U.S., as tested $381,590 U.S. (no Cdn. price yet). ENGINE: 6.75 L V8 twin turbo POWER/TORQUE: 530 hp/774 lb.-ft. FUEL CONSUMPTION: (EU) Urban 28.8, hwy. 14.1 L/100 km COMPETITION: Mercedes-Benz CLS L AMG, a small yacht WHAT'S BEST: Massive appeal, massive performance, massive exclusivity WHAT'S WORST: Massive thirst, massive price, just plain massive. WHAT INTERESTING: As close to a guarantee that you will never see yourself coming down the street as you're likely to get. Nobody else thinks the Phantom should have a closed roof for the best appeal? Kind of like the GT?
VCR Report post Posted June 14, 2008 Bentley Brooklands for sure. One word bests describe this car --- CLASS! You just want to cruise in this car but should you decide to pick up the pace, it can do that too. Quite fast considering its heft & size. It's old school and perhaps not as competent engineering-wise but that just adds the charm, the grandeur and opulence. There is currently one in Vancouver and, supposedly, the only one in Canada so far. Yours at a mere CAN$407,000.-

Saleenfan Report post Posted June 14, 2008 I think i gotta agree with skokos the Arnage is just so sexy and classy and Raw at the same time. Its like clarkson says its absolute power corrupting absolutely. im a little surprised that no one has said Maybach
VCR Report post Posted June 14, 2008 If you like the Arnage then you'll simply love the Brooklands. Everything the Arnage has it also has only at least one notch higher (ok, it has 2 less doors) but, incidentally, the rear passenger room is identical to that of the Arnage --- gives you an idea on just how large and grand this thing is. Yet so sleek & sexy at the same time. You have to see it in real to really appreciate it. (Pics I took from the Geneva)
Hovik Report post Posted June 14, 2008 Agreed VCR. Brooklands - class! I saw the cream color one in person and it was just drop dead gorgeous. I'm not a Bentley fan AT ALL, but Brooklands is beautiful!

Saleenfan Report post Posted June 15, 2008 Agreed VCR. Brooklands - class! I saw the cream color one in person and it was just drop dead gorgeous. I'm not a Bentley fan AT ALL, but Brooklands is beautiful! See now that one I like... Every other picture i had seen of the brooklands had the hubcapesque wheels that were pictured one post above yours and those are a major disapointment. But with those classic Bentley wheels I really like it. Thanks for making it tough again!
