The balance of power has shifted so far in her favor that things will never be "right" within that house, trust me. I know with kids involved you have to think twice, absolutely. But knowing how badly he strayed (he didn't just cheat in a singular event, he made it a true lifestyle) is it really worth it to stay together? Plus, whatever reason he used to justify the behavior in his mind this whole time will still be there, only magnified. Doomed.
