forzaL Report post Posted January 15, 2010 My opinion is, because they are testing the car's technical parts only (engine, chassis, suspension), the exterior of the car is only a shell made of Murcielago, Reventon and Gallardo parts, to cover what lies underneath it. The final design is not eaven close to what the pictures show. Does anyone else think this has bigger wheels than 18"? Also, it doesn't have scissor doors.. yet. ct1 Report post Posted January 15, 2010 I'm not so sure scissor doors meet the new Federal proposed roll over requirements. Although, that would seemingly leave teh SLS in a bit of bind unless they are grandfathered in by a certian date with model run-end experation. BILL_LV Report post Posted January 15, 2010 Here is worldcarfans article, they suggest Murcielago successor will be equipped with aluminium chassis, while credible sources here suggested CF chassis. Any update on this? http://www.worldcarfans.com/110011524026/l...-winter-testing

They have a special release button that pushes the door open even if the car is on the roof.

Fortis Report post Posted January 15, 2010 when should be expect this car to be on the market?
Destructo Report post Posted January 15, 2010 Don't worry about the scissor doors. Looks like a 560 with a different body (Testerossa style). They are probably just using it as a mule for the engine and driveline as others have mentioned. Don't get worked up yet. Too soon for anything substantial. They have a special release button that pushes the door open even if the car is on the roof. the sls meets all standards, what the sls has in tiny explosives on the hinges that go off when the car becomes inverted, then because of how the roof is designed, you can simply pull the handle and push the door out of the way. BILL_LV Report post Posted January 15, 2010 when should be expect this car to be on the market? The safest bet imo is launch at Geneva auto show in 2011 as a MY12 model.

Kenny94945 Report post Posted January 15, 2010 In the Chez article a side photograph shows clearly the door's belt line and a front vent window (fixed or not). There's also a little quarter window behind the door. Yes there are camo panels yet maybe this door belt line and door windows are final. Start yelling ooohs, and ahhhs and that looks great, awful, stupendous...whatever. Relax, its a goddamn test mule. I don't think they would make a non-scissor Flagship model. My only concern is that it would be DSG-only, (no gated gearboxes anymore).
