Lamborghini PPI/Countach NJ

Can some one suggest a Lamborghini mechanic familiar w/Countach to do a PPI on a DownDraft Countach? Thanks

Look up Will Degroot in Frenchtown, NJ (Im not sure what the number is, but a few of my friends who are owners have used and trusted him for years with their cars, so he will have my business when i finally buy my Lambo). Works on many different exotic cars.

Sure-It all started when I put this car up for sale-I have little experience with older Lamborghinis-I do own Murci, F40, sl65 bunch of older vettes, gt5s so on-I put this car up for sale and first person that I contacted was Chad-I thought he was buying but turned out he was just looking for someone-I really regret not having Chad look at it-At the same time another buyer made up a story that my car was a converted DD? I was soo confused that I contacted Joe Sackey for info since he has alot ok knowledge-WHAT a big mistake!! He wanted the listing and said he would sell discreetly I did not want to broker my car-Well I got Lynched on the Ferrari chat site-Joe S. mae up a story and out right lied that my car was illegal in the states- He also questioned that my car may be a converted car. I proved that my car was 100% legal and confirmed by v.i.n. and specialist like George Evans that it is a true DD! Joe S. and his a-hole buddies just kept playing. Guess who sent me a e-mail wishing to purchase? Roy from Cats(his comment was I will make it painless and quick! These guys sleep together!! Ok I put on ebay and get a Norwegian buyer that seems like a decent guy-But insisted on a wire transfer when I told him over and over only bank check-he starts complaining to ebay so I say f-him and dont want to deal w/him-Roy jumps in and wants to look like a saint to get in the middle-I say ok but has to be done quickly -aweek goes by and nothing-I re-listed it and thats it. I have never had so much negativity as I had on Ferrari chat Lambo chat is so much different! Every one here is so casual and cool. Enough said It has been so frustrating because my DD is soo nice- I think Chad has turned out to be agreat guy and appreciate everything-George Evans great guy alays answers for me and sells parts at such a great price. I have no information on your dealings with Joe or others...and pretty common knowledge that Joe and I are FAR apart from being in "bed" together LOL. I DID offer you $105K for your car when you first put it up on F-Chat, you declined, saying you wanted 125K at that time. AT that point we had no further communication.

 

I then did offer my "broker" service FREE OF CHARGE for both of you, you the seller and the buyer (from Norway) that bought your car on E-bay at $110,000 accepted bid. He paid you $1000K deposit, as asked immediately via e-bay. I do not know the internal conversations you two had, BUT did have you agree to still sell the car to him and this tiem accept a wire in funds for the purchase. The buyer intended to leave the car here and use it in the Slive State RUn in Vegas this May, as he has done for several years in the past. I faxed you all paperwork on LAST Monday and REPEATLY asked you both by phone calls and e-mail for your wire info. WE HAD his WIRE all the money on Monday that day..you kepst saying you had to have your "wife" get the banking info..this dragged threw till last Friday..again a call from to you promised returned paperwork and wire info by Saturday AM...still never got it...then comes Monday AND again a call to you stated "you will have it shortly". Then within two hours your car is RE-LISTED on E-bay at a HIGHER price. When we called you abrublty stated "I dont want to sell to this guy, find him another car" and hung up.

 

That is fine, but I wish you would have told us this on the FIRST call on Monday, we all went threw a lot of trouble to make two people happy in the Lambo community. The buyer has since had all his money returned to him Via wire to Norway. He is still looking for another car.

 

As far as your car not legal in the USA..? I can not say 100%, to be quite honest, after it was being sold out of the country...it really had no bearing. What is fact is your car orginated in Canada. Yes it was brought into the USA and yes a BOND was placed on the car for Customs and THE BOND was released after customs approved the car for NON theft and safety required issues. However what has not been proven, is the also required EPA/DOT release form that the car complies with their requirements.

 

The short of it is, your car looks great and a simple PPI by a quailfied shop with reveal all the good as well as (if any) issues on the car. The EPA/DOT issue is easy as a phone call to verify and aquire a copy of the release form. It is just sad that you did not get this done for the buyer in Norway. I wish you luck in the sale of your vehicle.

 

I have no information on the issues with the 355 you sold to an F-Chat member other than what he has posted on F-Chat.

I am a developer on the East coast and can not tell you how much stress there is now in this industry- I agree I have made alot of mistakes lately and especially on my car- I wish I accepted your offer that day-my life would be so simpler! I sell homes anywhere from 800k to 2m and negotiating sales it can go up or down 20 to 50k depending on timing. I have to say I have handled the sale of my DD very very poorly and learned my lesson-I ask you and others to forgive my approach and my patience- I have been difficult! I hope you and your followers would please let-up basically I am asking for some forgiveess-We are not perfect and we all go through some hard times- I and my wife would greatly appreciate if there could be some consideration.thank you and lambo chatters

More than fair. I agree with you...I think your car still has value...it has just had a cloud hanging over it...I think a good PPI from a know source will clear up a lot of questions..and it will be money well spent for a future potential buyer. Get a PPI and go from there. Get me the results and if you wish, I will still be more than happy to provide my services free of charge between you and Bjorne in Norway.

I dont think that will be necessary if you get a good PPI to provide to possible owners.

 

One thing that will be of intrest to you and others...as of recently the Euro countries have revised their impoirt laws for cars. GONE is the 10 year classic car rule and the ALL goes after 25 years has now been increased to 30 years! The VAT taxes have been increeased as well. Anything under the 30 years must now have either orginated in Euro build standards or has to go threw their safety inspection and have standards brough up, i.e. their marker light types, and other minor issues...however it can get exspensive. The new VAT tax is also not only on the selling price of the vehicle BUT includes the transport cost, i.e. air or sea shipping. ALSO you must now prove the payment of the car with both the orginal bill of sale as well as a copy and a letter from the Euro bank showing that exact amount paid VIA A WIRE comfirmation, no more I paid cash and use a smaller bill of sale made up type thing.

 

This has of course crossed off a lot of Euro buyers for cars under the 30 year period.

Seriously, you have gone out of your way to advertise and sell this car, only to refuse payment, multiple times. Were these buyers too savvy? Is there an issue with the car? Are you only going to accept payment for the car from someone too dumb to check it out, or sue you after the sale? That is how it seems...
