the cartels don't give a fcuk about bad publicity. According to that report the cartels have killed 28,000 people since 2006....one more body won't make the slightest difference.

 

Since they are in the intimidation game, another high profile graphic excution is probably in the cards unfortunately.

The cartels have clearly proven they don't care how high profile you are, they want everyone to know messing with them has only one outcome. The one thing the leaders seem to not like is killing Americans because it attracts a lot of atention of the kind they don't like, meaning American law enforcement.
