Earlycat Report post Posted November 26, 2012 A friend of mine went there last year. Don't travel at night is the lesson. He was pulled over by the police (or possibly fake police). They held him and his friend that was from Mexico at gunpoint, took cameras & all the money they could find. Then left. He said he really thought they were going to kill him. Fortis Report post Posted November 26, 2012 That's absolutely horrible, you couldn't pay me to travel to that place, the government should declare war on them and get the army to hunt them until they are all gone.
filmstudent Report post Posted November 26, 2012 i wonder why she decided to withdraw her security team and police escort? 2 assassination attempts, her first husband was killed in an assassination attempt and this woman still drives her kid to school unprotected? a very sad story, but really what did she expect? its a sooner or later situation...luckily the kid was ok, aside from the emotional trauma

Robster Craws Report post Posted November 26, 2012 We should just legalize it here in the US, and it will cut off the money supply to these monsters. Then they will be left with nothing to do but kill each other... Do to the cartels what the Colombians did.....suspend civil rights temporarily and kill them all. It worked in Colombia quite effecively. There is no negotiating with these people, so you merely have to kill them, as quickly and brutally as possible. The FARC was eviscerated, as were the cartels. Like they are doing on a smaller/ different scale in parts of India with Tiger poaches. Shoot on the spot.

What is incredible to me is we spend soooo much time and effort in the middle east (which of course is important), yet there are horrible atrocities like this in Mexico and Venezuela that affect us significantly now. There were more homicides in Venezuela than in Israel and Gaza the week that the Palestinians/Israeli's bombed the Sh!t out of each other to put it into perspective. 2 major things that should be done-get Chavez out of Power, and strategically take out the cartels in Mexico (ALL OF THEM). ct1 Report post Posted November 28, 2012 The Disney Cruise we took the kids on this year made a couple stops in Mexico. The police, wearing fatigues (even aboard navy vessels, weird) always had a " I can make you disappear" look on their faces. They were on money's side, whoever has it on given day, they are working for them. The positive, bought a $150 alligator wallet for $25. Bet you don't have a genuine tanned and polished chihuahua wallet! Great snorkeling in Cabo. Oh, and anyone drunk enough to actually get in a Carlos & Charlies bar pool, well, just...just damn. I think the water was actually yellow.
