if they are your favourite band, how come you've never seen them before? first New Order show for me was in 1987, when Echo & The Bunneymen and Gene Loves Jezebel were the openers.

How does it feel

To treat me like you do

When you've laid laid your banhammer upon me

And told me who you are

I thought I was mistaken

I thought I heard your words

Tell me how do I feel

Tell me now how do I feel

Those who trolled before me

Lived through their vocations

From the past until completion

They will troll away no more

And I still find it so hard

To say what I need to say

But I'm quite sure that you'll tell me

Just how I should be banned today

I see a trollfish in the harbor

I can and shall obey

But if it wasn't for your misfortunes

I'd be a heavenly troll today

And I thought I was mistaken

And I thought I heard you speak

Tell me how do I feel

Tell me now how should I feel

Now I stand here waiting

I thought I told you to leave me

While I walked down to the beach

Tell me how does it feel

When your avacado grows cold

(grows cold, grows cold, grows cold)

I love New Order but that's a terrible performance of a great song. It's also minus Hook.......

New Order have always been a great studio band. the whole point(fun) of going to see them live was to see just how bad they could mess up their own songs. i miss the Hooky too!

Does it matter, it was the second best band most of them were in.

Joy Division was the game changer.

I remember Hook saying that he makes more money from the joy division publishing than the entire new order catalog put together. That in and of itself tells the whole story.

Still have my original 12" of blue Monday, which had no words, it was 'the beach' that had the lyrics

The Floppy Disk 12"?

Well... when I was young, I couldn't really afford to go to shows.... And its been a LONG TIME since theyve been here... I think it was 1993...

actually they were in California twice since 93. in 2001 they did one show during the Area One Festival with Moby at the Blockbuster Pavilion. then they came back in 2005 for two shows. one up in Oakland, the other at Coachella.

I've always liked New Order, but Bernard and Johnny Marr should have stuck together as Electronic.

RD - You gonna see Morrissey again next month?

:iamwithstupid: Even Richard Blade the world's worst DJ and biggest brown noser, noted that Morrissey's recent shows were awful and he mailed it in.

Seen them nearly 100 times since 1983. Going to the 2 shows in New York next week then off to Chicago to catch another. Gone are the days when I would try to do every date on their tours.
