spooky Report post Posted October 7, 2012 if they are your favourite band, how come you've never seen them before? first New Order show for me was in 1987, when Echo & The Bunneymen and Gene Loves Jezebel were the openers. ts640 Report post Posted October 8, 2012 How does it feel To treat me like you do When you've laid laid your banhammer upon me And told me who you are I thought I was mistaken I thought I heard your words Tell me how do I feel Tell me now how do I feel Those who trolled before me Lived through their vocations From the past until completion They will troll away no more And I still find it so hard To say what I need to say But I'm quite sure that you'll tell me Just how I should be banned today I see a trollfish in the harbor I can and shall obey But if it wasn't for your misfortunes I'd be a heavenly troll today And I thought I was mistaken And I thought I heard you speak Tell me how do I feel Tell me now how should I feel Now I stand here waiting I thought I told you to leave me While I walked down to the beach Tell me how does it feel When your avacado grows cold (grows cold, grows cold, grows cold)

gLA Report post Posted October 8, 2012 I love New Order but that's a terrible performance of a great song. It's also minus Hook.......
spooky Report post Posted October 8, 2012 I love New Order but that's a terrible performance of a great song. It's also minus Hook....... New Order have always been a great studio band. the whole point(fun) of going to see them live was to see just how bad they could mess up their own songs. i miss the Hooky too! kinnsella Report post Posted October 8, 2012 No hook = no new order. Does it matter, it was the second best band most of them were in. Joy Division was the game changer.
abolfaz Report post Posted October 8, 2012 Does it matter, it was the second best band most of them were in. Joy Division was the game changer. I remember Hook saying that he makes more money from the joy division publishing than the entire new order catalog put together. That in and of itself tells the whole story. I think it was 1993... actually they were in California twice since 93. in 2001 they did one show during the Area One Festival with Moby at the Blockbuster Pavilion. then they came back in 2005 for two shows. one up in Oakland, the other at Coachella. kinnsella Report post Posted October 8, 2012 Im done with Morrissey unless its with the Smiths.... His shows suck. Even Richard Blade the world's worst DJ and biggest brown noser, noted that Morrissey's recent shows were awful and he mailed it in. neil donkin Report post Posted October 10, 2012 Seen them nearly 100 times since 1983. Going to the 2 shows in New York next week then off to Chicago to catch another. Gone are the days when I would try to do every date on their tours.
