I absolutely love the gulf look! Looks bad ass! Im not too sure about the wheels though....

Good news that we will see the replacement soon but it sucks that the Superleggera will be 3 to 4 years away.

I just bought a loaded 6 speed LP570. It will be perfect once it has turbos. ;)

The 570 is perfect the way it is the only thing it needs is an exhaust :icon_thumleft:

I'm down with this as long as the they either go with LP550 or LP570 SL styling...not the 2013 styling :gay:

Spoken from someone that hasn't experienced a UR TT 570?

I haven't experienced many things which I already know I won't like or have a need for.

I just find it so sad to see the manual transmissions gone in modern supercars. I saw a stunning pearl white LP640 drive around downtown yesterday and that e-gear at low speeds sounded terrible, like it was always looking for first gear.

Looks great, looks like the restyle wasn't moving cars so they went back to the older body style which necessitated the "last, last edition". That's a car I would consider picking up in a couple of years. And it has the older style SL wheels....too funny. Assman called it with the wheels...

I wonder if those wheels will sneak their way into the replacement :lol2:

Of course they will, obviously it will have to be a "special edition", the retro one.

This is the only way they could sneak one last edition out that would make sense. The final stick shift manual transmission Lamborghini. A nod to the fact that the Gallardo is the end of an era and a good way to get rid of parts they no longer need. I consider the Gallardo line to be the best supercar of all time. It is easy to live with, has the drama and excitement and has timeless looks.

That said, it is unfortunate that it is going out like this. With the great success of the Aventador and the upcoming Gallardo successor, lets hope that VAG has learned their lesson. I hope no models drag out like this anymore. It worked in the past, but with all the competition these days, it is no longer an option. 6 years is a good life cycle for any super car. Beyond that, it gets stale.

I hope that going forward they build on the momentum and turn newer models more quickly. If they release the Aventador replacement in 2017 it will keep the model from ever tanking on the resale market and make great strides to beating Ferrari in resale value. If they play their cards right, I really think they can overtake Ferrari. Sounds crazy, but Ferrari has gotten lazy whereas Lambo is getting sharper and sharper. Combine that with the fact that people who are now entering their 30-40's grew up with the Countach poster on their bedroom wall. They have a real shot.

But much will depend on the Gallardo successor and the way they go about things.

A good finale for a great car. The catfish seemed an odd way to go out.

:iamwithstupid:

Thank you Lamborghini for coming to your senses.

So what is the difference between a 550-2 and 560-2? I'm shocked so many of you prefer RWD - I love AWD.

Ten more horsepower.

Some people like to swing the read-end out a little more than the AWD guys.

I just drove a 550-2 Spyder a few days ago and really prefer the AWD. To each their own.
