RIP It was the first show that caused "VCR Clock Anxiety" for me, meaning that as you watched it and the clock on the VCR or DVD player kept ticking away you'd get pissed off that the show was going to be over soon... Best of all time. Respect to The Wire, Mad Men, Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, and of the other routinely acknowledged "best" series that people rave about, but nothing came close to quality of writing on The Sopranos.
