When the previous owner from Buffalo sold the car, he when out on the town that night to celebrate the sale. That night he was involved in a car accident driving his C_o_r_v_e_t_t_e. The accident was moderate and he chose not to get checked out at the hospital. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to him he had suffered internal injuries and died later that night. A good friend of mine knew the owner and told me what had happened to the guy. Prior to his ownership there were a couple more owners of it in Western New York area. One being a native American that made it big selling gas and cigarets in the area, they called him Smoking Joe. And yes I am serious about the name, anyone in the Niagara Falls area knows Smoking Joe as the Indians now run the casino in the old Niagara Falls convention center. Beautiful car. Everyone would have loves seeing it in person. I love the clean lines with the fender flares.. Euro bumpers, etc. etc... just a neat car to be around last night. I was wondering when it would show up on the boards. I am glad he is happy with it. A car with great History and top notch color combo IMO. Bmwracer spoke to him at length about the car. Regardless I'm sure its a good car. I never spoke to the fellow in Canada who last had it. I think he paid top dollar at the time he bought it. I remember it being described by Sackey as a multiple concourse winner (back in the 90's).... While it will require a little work on my part to get it back to THAT level, it is a sound and solid starting point. I think that anyone who is unfimiliar with the way these cars were made in the first place; and has taken for granted the giant leaps that have been made by Lamborghini in the fit and finish department, would be dissapointed with a "brand new" Countach.
