Zambrano Report post Posted May 6, 2014 I have no idea who this Mr. Al Pastor is, but he is obviously a genius. Here al pastor means the tacos, not exclusively the meat. "al pastor" is how you prepare the pork, in some cases beef. I had four salsas on offer, pico de gallo, salsa verde, ranchero/chipotle, and roasted habanero. I personally like a mix of the verde, ranchero, and habanero. Pico de Gallo: yes, original Salsa Verde: If was with chile serrano is a real salsa Ranchero/Chipotle: texmex crap Roasted Habanero: common in the south east beaches like Campeche, Yucatan and Quintana Roo and so damn good! Well you ate a almost 100% real mexican food, woohoo!

AudiBull Report post Posted May 12, 2014 Had everyone over yesterday for Mothers Day. I've really gotten my moneys worth out of the Kabobeque. This was from last Sunday. Please note the perfection of the thadig. Both look awesome, the tahdig looks great! Saw a couple kebab/kabobs food trucks and restaurants in DC over the weekend but didn't indulge. I also figured out kabab is the Indian/Pakistani spelling. I did have some awesome Vietnamese food including the world's craziest spicy hot pot. Still been on a Mexican kick lately. Had some awesome tacos at Oyamel. Chapulines (fried grasshoppers), Lengua (beef tongue), and roast suckling pig with chicharrones. and my favorite, huitlacoche (corn fungus) quesadilla. This is scallop and ahi tuna ceviche I made last week. Favorite way to serve it, on top of home made quacamole and then with fresh fruit. Used mango and kiwi this time. Eat it with good tortilla chips, makes a great appetizer or entree. I'm starting to think that a non kebab food thread may be needed... Sorry for further diluting the purity of this one Modo.
