Seen this Kerplop? A white Jalpa with red interior on eBay with the bidding at $66,350 in 2 days. It will be interesting to see how it shakes out.

Maybe we are not so crazy after all.....

I'm confused, that's a maserati.

  • 2 weeks later...

Subframe stripped down. Dropped it off at the powdercoating shop today. Going with a high gloss black. Going to look sexy as hell. Somehow, and I don't know how, it totally fit in the hatch of my 924. LOL. I'm replacing the carpet this winter anyway, so zero fucks given.

#porscheeveryday??? lol.

Can't wait to see the subframe after it's done.

It's nice to see that others' use sports cars as work trucks too. :eusa_dance:

Only way to do it! :lol2:

Previous machine shop decided they didn't want to build my valve depression tool as it was too complex. The shop that was going to do the head work is confident they can do it without it. Both heads dropped off today. Time to get the actual machining done :)

Have any pics with the engine on it? I bet it looks slick!

The guy called me back today asking if I wanted to shoot a clearcoat on it. I said yes. So it should be back monday. I'll get tons of pics.

Not enough light outside right now but now that I'm home, a few more pics. Brought it inside so I could snag a pic.

shit, my pants got tight.

hey, does anyone know what the cam removal tool looks like?

Basically looks like an odd clamp with an allthread handle that bolts onto the head at an angle. I have a pic of it somewhere, don't have one, pm me your email and i'll email you a pic.

I was told by a local machinist, rather than using that tool, you're likely far better off forking the valves open. But I'm leaving that to him.
