Lightning Report post Posted February 26, 2014 You've got to find one for sale first.... :icon_super: :icon_super: That is awesome for you guys, but makes guys like me (who aspire to own one someday) want to cry! Seems like every time one gets sold, it goes into a vault never to be available again (as is the case with yours and Allan's car as an example). CountachQV Report post Posted February 26, 2014 Seems like every time one gets sold, it (as is the case with yours and Allan's car as an example). That is the indication the serious collectors are moving in. The lack of flips as in the past could indicate a permanent price hike muira style. In 10-15 years good countaches no matter what model, will be reaching the million. The are the last true lambos
Redlambo Report post Posted February 26, 2014 That is the indication the serious collectors are moving in. The lack of flips as in the past could indicate a permanent price hike muira style. In 10-15 years good countaches no matter what model, will be reaching the million. The are the last true lambos I have always thought and continue to think that the Countach will be a million dollar car. Most often when the interest spikes in a particular car and the prices go through the roof overnight, they do not reverse course. SingleSeat Report post Posted February 27, 2014 I'm not a buyer or seller right now so I can acknowledge the probability that this isn't a bubble and will continue to grow, but I have to admit that it's still a tough call because there are so few sales to really generalize on the entire market. I'm just tossing fake numbers around for argument's sake in that we could easily see one car grab everyone's attention at $300k only to be followed a few months later by a $114k deal. Our guts might feel a trend and a trend may exist, but the hard data is still all over the map. If we can just say, yes, prices are up and there is definitely a trend, I still don't think the data is good enough to be assured of that line's slope. Gauging internet forum remarks, sellers will of course promote the higher data points and buyers will of course promote the lower data points. Both likely share a portion of truth between them. Roman Report post Posted March 10, 2014 So... Took my car out to my first Louisville car show yesterday... And I think its safe to say, my car was the star of the show... There was a 96 Diablo and a 360 Furreri spyder, but the countach had people two and three deep most of the show (and I was the only owner who was asked to start his car so the crowd could hear one). I was also asked to enter the 2014 Louisville Concourse D'elegance by the organizers... Thankfully no '59 bugs to steal my thunder... Earlycat Report post Posted March 10, 2014 Your car was the hit. Even after you left! You just can't go wrong with a Countach. They have asked me every year to enter the Concourse. The event happens at the same time as the St James Art Fair, which I'm involved in. Anyways, the Concours is a cool event & they have wanted a Countach for some time. Allan-Herbie Report post Posted March 10, 2014 I have found that when I'm out with others with exotic cars that most people will bypass them all to go see the Countach. Then again same holds true for the Diablo.
