I have both.. One in each Lambo. Both are great. I like the directional arrows on the Valentine and it pics up faster than the Passport. But the Passport has less false alerts and does the Red-light cameras. I have the laser jammers with the passport and they seem to work well.

I agree with the others here.

The Escort 9500ci and Beltronics STiR Plus are almost as good as the V1. However if you're used the V1 you will miss the bogey counter and directional arrows.

I run the 9500ci in the McLaren and the Beltronics STiR Plus in my jeep. They are actually the same unit except the 9500ci is more expensive and comes which outdated laser shifters that you don't want anyways. The only difference other than that is that the Beltronics has a red display and male voice while the 9500ci has a blue display and female voice.

As far as laser shifters you want to get http://www.alpriorityusa.com/ as they are hands down the best on the market now. They are the only jammers that will jam some newer guns (Laser Ally Dragoneye Compact comes to mind). They also come out with updates fairly frequently. I've had a 100% success jam rate with them so far and jammed 6 cops on my last trip from GA to FL.

Ever been fucked with over the jammer? I have to assume the cops are not pleased with this.

If you are on the highway, anything other than a V1 and you are kidding yourself. I'm getting a bit tired of my V1 around the city, but I won't switch out.

Nope never even get pulled over. I can kill jamming if I want once I'm slowed down and let them get a reading, but most times I don't bother. In the McLaren it's so obvious too, laser hits me and airbrake shoots up as soon as I get on the brakes. I also have hidden kill switches so I can easily turn the system off entirely if I want to.

I'm guessing they don't pull me over cause they don't have any probable cause, unless they want to get me on a tint ticket or something, but they would probably rather write speeding tickets since they are more $.

Disclaimer I dont own or use any of these products but to add to the conversation, Based on what I have read online

reading the link it claims the item is a parking sensor and thus legal to own and use, but I wonder if that has been tested in court.

I also believe they used to be set up that they would activate jamming for X amount of seconds and then turn off. This gives you time to hit the brakes slow down and let the office pick up a much lower speed rating.

Laser jammers are an interesting topic for me. I have a buddy who is a traffic unit and runs laser all the time - he says jammers don't work (they've tested cheaper ones I believe) and that they can bounce laser off just about anything now and it is so fast that most systems just can't handle it. He's out in AZ and they have brand new guns.

Where are yours mounted?

I got 2 heads on front bumper and 2 on rear on the 12C and 3 heads in front grill on my jeep and 2 in rear. They absolutely do work. The cheaper brands and the ones that used to come bundled with some of the radar systems (for example the zr4 laser shifter that came with escort system) are crap.

The current top dog is the AL Priority system (http://radarandlaserforum.com/content.php/118-AL-Priority-Review-by-Mirage). Before that Laser Interceptor was the top dog, but they fell behind on development and can't jam some newer guns last I checked. Before Laser Interceptor a system called Laser Pro Park was the best one.

Here is a video of the AL Priority jamming a gun that a lot of other systems have trouble with:

Here are the results from a semi recent test of various systems: http://www.raletc.com/2014/09/2014-raletc-...-shootout-live/

Awesome! I was looking at the LPP and Interceptor models years back but just never pulled the trigger. I don't drive enough highway to really need it. But all my tickets minus the first have all been from laser. The worst part about the V1 (not that they can do anything about it) is the laser "warning." Nice way to tell me to pull over.
