diabloking Report post Posted June 3, 2016 I am greatly offended at the media coverage of Prince's death. They keep trying to slant the story to a simple drug addicts overdose. This story is so much more complicated. You have someone who was suffering pain for an extended period of time, to the point where he had to look for alternatives when his prescribed meds no longer worked. This is an indictment of the medical industry, not the sad story of some junkie.

diabloking Report post Posted June 3, 2016 How is that different from any other addict? This was a case of a person trying to suppress pain not someone using medications to get high.

Roman Report post Posted June 4, 2016 This was a case of a person trying to suppress pain not someone using medications to get high. Most addicts (especially long term ones who OD) are long past the point of "trying to get high." They're lucky if they can just feel "normal".... They're self medicating to deal with all sorts of emotional pain....

It was NEVER about getting high, but a long journey in an attempt to live pain free that unfortunately, led to his death. I am vigorously opposed to any portrayal of the man as a lowly drug addict.
