I liked his speech, I also like how everyone around the world who mocked him are crapping their pants right about now doing lots of backpedalling LOL

I can not stand self-serving career politicians, I hope he shakes the crap out of the establishment.

The American media is now dead. :icon_super:

IMO, although glad he won, a lot of the mocking was well-deserved (I stand by my criticisms of him earlier on this thread). The big problem was the blatant bias so many showed, and the attitude among many that they need not even be objective because Trump was not a "real" candidate.

Now let's hope he actually is presidential and not getting into Twitter wars at 3AM.

I appreciate honesty and people who speak their mind, love it or hate it the truth is what I am seeking from everyone whom I am coming across, I don't like people who talk behind your back.

You can agree or disagree with them but you can't hate them for being honest with you.

I believe he put on a show during the campaign, did what he had to in order to get the job done, the guy was born a winner you can't argue with that.

:iamwithstupid: He beat the Republicans, the Democrats, and the media. Say what you will that's a hell of an accomplishment. To quote a wise man,

So I wonder if this means that the GOP doesn't have to worry about running on a more secure border and also, if it means that the views about the country's demographics having changed, we're wrong, that the white vote is still more influential than they thought.

True that.

I think you'll be disappointed, it's already looking like he's "draining the swamp" by pumping the same old sewage right back into it. Most of the potential cabinet picks are career politicians.

You need some politicians in there, I hope he won't fall into that category.

The media is going to be harping every which way on this no matter what Trump does. If he puts in people with no experience, they'll be harping that he's going to run the country into the ground, that he's putting unqualified people in power, etc...so then he puts experienced people into positions, which means career politicians sometimes, and they start harping about that.

It has been pointed out the silliness of how they are making a big deal that he hasn't made any appointments yet, but then you look back on previous president-elects and it was weeks before they made their first appointment. Charles Krauthammer I think also made a point in that the claims about the transition team being in disarray could be exaggerated because they were claiming his campaign was in disarray as well since forever and he won (although it did seem like it was in disarray for awhile, until Conway came in).

Right now is an issue as Trump apparently wants to give his kids security access, but that creates a conflict of interest because they are in charge of his business and also Ivanka's husband Jared Kushner owns a newspaper. Also nepotism laws.

Now if only Upstate/Western NY would secede from New York and become its own state.

Drain the swamp or not, I don't care. Just glad to see we at least have someone in who has love for the country and wants what is good for it. I fully expect Trump has to have some swamp people around him and have to compromise on issues. It's not a dictatorship.

The Democrat's loss in the recent presidential election may be the most damaging loss in party history. Love him/hate him DJT has singlehandedly: ( good or bad is for you to determine )

Ended any chance of Hillary Clinton being elected president .......ever

Ended potential 16 year control of POTUS

Put legacy of president Obama in jeopardy

Received positive overtures from Russia, Japan the Phillipines and even Syria!!!

Positioned Republicans to choose minimum 1 and maybe as many as four Supreme Court judges

Given Republicans control of POTUS and Congress

Given Republicans two years to enact agenda policies and consolidate political power before midterm elections

And he did ALL of this BEFORE ever sitting in office!!!!!

Well it failed for Britain's Labour party thus far. They almost won, doubled-down, went further left, then lost again.

Yes, at the very least we will have someone who doesn't go around apologizing for America.

“As for Le Pen it is unlikely that she wins but it is possible, and that is partly because the people have lost interest in policy, instead focusing on personality.

“The people listen less and less to policy and they even seem less concerned about whether the candidates are telling the truth or not.

“They are more interested in the performance, in the theatrical quality of what is said than whether it is true. And as we know, a fascist can put on a very successful performance.”

The latest polls emerged as French conservatives voted in primaries on Sunday to choose their presidential nominee to face Front National candidate Ms Le Pen.

Seven candidates are competing for their position in the primaries and a second vote will be held next week to decide between the two frontrunners.

I think people are plenty interested in policy, they are just sick of the nonsense of the establishment.

"The reality is she does not have an economic answer to the problems faced by the left behind communities in France any more than Ukip has an economic answer to the left behind communities in Britain.

“It’s only communities coming together with public investment that can deal with the fundamental economic injustices that are getting worse not better in Europe.”

I don't know her economic policies, but considering that France is a literal quasi-socialist country, the solution to their problems is to undo a lot of the leftist policy that dominates the economy and make it more right-wing, more limited-government. More "public investment" is not going to fix anything. What France needs is its own equivalent of a Margaret Thatcher IMO, who can take a sledgehammer to the grip that the French left have on the country.

Man, I'm going to have to call artificial inflation so people can cash out on the top and then ride it down. I think I'll bet on it tanking. Hasn't even set foot in office yet, idk how the market can be doing so well all of a sudden when he has done nothing yet to make me think otherwise. It's a 50/50 ball right now.

Simply because NO ONE cares that they're being lied to .

Said he will prosecute Hillary , announces today that he won't.

Said he will build a wall , had all the rubes chanting it, announces he won't.

Said he would repeal Obamacare , now announces he will keep most elements of it.

Said he would "drain the swamp" , then hired nothing but Washington insiders.

Make all the excuses you want, its the same OLD SHIT!
