That is a killer price for a roadster LP640. Just make sure there is no story to this car! If it had CCBs it would tits at that price still good though.

What do you think about this one????

Ppi to be done today. Can get him down to about 170

http://www.exoticautosinternational.com/us...7d0de898ca2.htm

Best wishes! I can only imagine the anticipation you're feeling right now!

The only major item I did not see in the listing are the carbon-ceramic brakes option...may be a bargaining tool for you. (Kicks toe at an imaginary pebble, and says, "You know, I was REALLY searching for a car with carbon-ceramic brakes. I don't know...)

The one thing that concerns me a little is the fact that the clutch was replaced at 9k. That can only mean one thing: that the car was launched repeatedly. If you can, tell the mechanic to focus on the drivetrain. Differential?

Let us know what happens!

9k for a clutch doesn't mean it was launched repeated. Could have happened from getting on a trailer from transport, etc. It's aomething to ask for sure, but that's not a sure cause at all.

Correct. Carfax looks good. Not a big deal to see a clutch at 9k miles. It is probably below average for an LP640 but not a bad thing. Likely wear from transport. It was sold new in Hawaii and then ended up in Texas so it has been on some trucks/ferries/etc. Good looking car. Best of luck with it.

I mildly thought about pursuing this car, however, I live in Seattle where it rains a bit too much for a roadster and I have to crouch down to see out of the windshield as I'm slightly too tall for a roadster.

I've seen the price on the car bounce around from approximately $179,XXX down to $170,XXX. While the asking price has gone back up to approximately $179,000 - you should be able to get it for very close to $170,000.

Thanks for all the feedback...ppi came back good, clutch 80%,

Everything else works well. As luck would have it lambo houston just posted a silvery six speed gated 06 coupe for 169, seems pricey to me but im new at this...

Slipping a clutch fifteen feet up a ramp a handful of times is enough to burn it through? Please tell me that Lambo uses better clutches than that! ;-)

I think there have been instances where someone has killed a clutch from a single loading. Not that your suggested scenario isn't possible, it's just not the only way is all.

Gotcha. I'm not questioning what you heard, but the skeptic in me wonders if perhaps someone launched a car a few times, then claimed it happened on the transport to try to wriggle out of an expensive repair. (Or maybe the clutch was already burnt before it was delivered?) Hmmm...

So, did you pull the trigger?

The car is still listed for sale. I too was looking at this one. I'm not a fan of black cars but it makes a great candidate for a wild wrap.

Yes definitely, the folks selling it did the wheels and say they are exact to specification but will grill lambo orlando about it for sure.

Really hoping for appreciation on this one, cmon- how many gated roadsters were produced? Wish she was a 640 but i'll have shuffled of this mortal coil before a gated 640 roadster ever surfaces.

Sorry guys, but giving up an 07 for an 06 sounds like a bad move to me. I own an 06 and while an 07 isnt a huge difference, for the money why wouldnt you take the 07? Stick or Egear?? nah, its over rated. My 2 cents. I'm selling my 06 Murci Roadster with Egear AND Ceramic brakes ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lamborghini-Murcie...me=STRK:MESE:IT ) , and one of the highest optioned out ones I have seen (from the factory), but a buddy asked if he should get my car or an 07 for 10k more, and I said 07 ALLLL THE WAY.

Thats my 2 cents.

It's hard to spend one's time divided between multiple sites lol Congrats on your SV Roadster!

I did get the PPi from Mark but when I went back to the seller it was sold. The same seller has an 08 with 19k miles, 50% clutch, no q citura, odd carbon fiber weave for 185k I'm not too interested in that one.

I've found most of these cars are really suffering from deferred maintenance.....and I'm only looking at dealers. After 6 passes and ppi failures I'm now looking at an 06 M roadster. It just has a color combination I prefer over any LP offered at the moment. For me this is only an interim car as I really prefer the look of the Aventador. But, since I do everything cash in hand now, it will have to wait for a couple of years.
