Nice!!! 1.3 G when accelerating in 5th. How much G are you pulling in first or second gear? -
Fuel gauges on all cars are not accurate.

E-gear system doesn't like low voltage. Make sure you battery level is high. Also have your mechanic check the actuator. If the actuator doesn't have enough pressure, it won't shift.

I also have a Kevlar clutch from Hi Tech Exotic in my 2004 E-gear Gallardo. I used to get a lot of bucking with oem but Hi tech Kevlar is a lot smoother. I've put more than 30,000 miles on my Hi Tech Kevlar and I still had 50% left when I did my last snapshot. My original only lasted 8k miles. With an E-gear, it really matters who you get your Kevlar from. The set up is really important when it comes to E-gear. I have done probably about 10 track weekends with a lot of 8k rpm shifting and I have never had any drive line problems. I got over 40,000 miles on my Gallardo and the gearbox is perfect. Btw at 8k rpm Hi tech shifts a lot faster and crisper. I can really tell the difference at the track.

Murcielago engines should not have any problems with 50k miles if maintained properly. Get a PPI for sure.

Thanks for the heads up... -
That was cool...

+1 The engine doesn't have to come out in a Gallardo, only the bumper and the transmission. It's a lot less labor than a Murcielago.

running aftermarket clutch on egear 08 gallardo?
STEEVE1234 replied to sonict's topic in Archived Content
You're right... Not all Kevlar clutches work well with E-gear. A good Kevlar clutch is smoother than a stock clutch. I have a 2004 Gallardo with E-gear.I have Hi Tech Exotic Kevlar clutch in mine. You know that 04 Gallardo E-gear is notorious for bucking and not being smooth with a stock clutch. When I installed Hi Tech Exotic, it was smoother than my stock. I would say 90% of the bucking went away. Hi Tech uses high quality Kevlar, not the cheap stuff. Also their Kevlar clutch lasts a lot longer than stock. My stock clutch lasted only 8k mi. I got over 30k mi on my Hi Tech and I still have 50% left. -
Does Gallardo have same throttle bodies as Murcielago?
-
+1 you should use reverse as little as possible...
-
09+ Gallardo has a lot better E-gear system. It keeps adjusting so it engages better and less slipping.
-
Try not to use Auto. You slip the clutch more when it's in Auto. Put it in Sport. Sport slips the clutch the least. When you wanna take off, don't feather the throttle. The more gentle you are with the the throttle, the more you'll slip the clutch. I always wait for the other cars go a little bit so I can be more aggressive with the throttle. You want the clutch to engage as quick as possible.

congrats on the new car!!!

RSC LP570 Polyurethane Bumper - SUMMER SPECIAL! DEEP DISCOUNT!

So you don't have LP570 upgrade for pre-lp? -
I think the compressor is also used in an Audi, either RS6 or R8.

Pega clutch is not good at all. There are a few people who got their clutch and had problem shifting. Deonss is right that you should have your flywheel balanced and matched too. There was a guy on R8talk and Pega clutch didn't do it with the flywheel and he couldn't shift at all. Pega clutch is very sneaky and dishonest. I have Hi Tech Exotic kevlar clutch and have been happy with their kevlar clutch. Pega clutch stole my positive feedback about my Hi Tech Exotic clutch and put it on their website pretending that my positive feedback was about their clutch.
